Who is targeted therapy suitable for

Tumors have always been treated with relatively traditional methods. The emergence of targeted therapy seems to have brought new hope to many patients. However, there are still some problems with targeted therapy. Not all cancer patients are suitable for targeted therapy, and the cost of targeted therapy is relatively high, which many patients cannot afford. Of course, targeted therapy also has some side effects.

Who is targeted therapy suitable for?

Targeted therapy is effective for both early-stage and late-stage cancer patients, but not all cancer patients are suitable for targeted therapy. Only one-third of tumor patients are suitable for targeted therapy, and one-third of these patients have gene mutations. In other words, certain genes in these patients' bodies have mutated. Why is this? Because targeted drugs are only effective for tumor patients with relevant gene mutations. Therefore, tumor patients without gene mutations are not suitable for using targeted drugs, and traditional chemotherapy drugs are still their first choice.

Targeted therapy is a disadvantage

1. Targeted therapy also has shortcomings

That is, its effectiveness is not 100%. After a long time, drug resistance will develop. Many people don’t know what drug resistance means. The so-called drug resistance means that the tumor in the patient's body is no longer sensitive to targeted drugs, and the effect gradually becomes worse and worse, and even has no effect in the end.

2. Targeted drugs are expensive

It is unaffordable for ordinary families. If targeted therapy has no effect after a period of time, then wouldn’t it be a waste of a lot of money? Wasting money is not a big deal, but delaying the saving of lives would have serious consequences. Therefore, it is recommended that during targeted therapy, the anti-tumor Chinese medicine ginsenoside RG3 can be used to enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity, improve immunity, and improve the effectiveness of targeted therapy. Ginsenoside RG3 allows patients to live longer and better. As the effect is improved, the cost of treatment will be reduced accordingly. Of course, ginsenoside RG3 is also a product included in the cancer medical insurance catalogue.

3. Targeted therapy is not a perfect treatment

So don't give 100% trust. During the treatment, you should still pay more attention to improving your immunity, get a good rest, ensure adequate sleep time, pay more attention to your diet, don't eat greasy and spicy food, eat more light and easily digestible food, you can also eat more fruits and vegetables, and exercise and take a walk in moderation.
