Symptoms of disinfectant poisoning

Symptoms of disinfectant poisoning

Although disinfectants are used to help us disinfect items and ensure our health in our daily lives, if they are used incorrectly, it can easily lead to poisoning of the consumer. Take 84 disinfectant as an example. If poisoning occurs during the use of 84 disinfectant, the body will experience edema, redness and swelling of the skin, and itching.

1. Symptoms of allergy to 84 disinfectant

1. Edema, small red bumps, unbearable itching, dry skin and peeling occur. These are caused by the human body being allergic to one or more of the concentrated substances in the 84 disinfectant.

2. Edema occurs. Allergies to 84 disinfectant will irritate the human body, causing the release of histamine, increasing vascular permeability, causing edema, and in severe cases, causing shock.

2. What to do if you are allergic to 84 disinfectant

1. Stay away from allergens and stop using the 84 disinfectant currently in use immediately to prevent the allergy from becoming more severe.

2. Drink more water, eat more fruits (such as apples, oranges, pears, etc.), and eat less irritating foods (such as eggs, seafood, ginger, onions, etc.), which will help promote metabolism and detoxification.

3. Take some anti-allergic drugs, such as diphenhydramine, ibendyramine, terfenadine and other drugs for treatment.

4. If the condition is serious, you should go to the hospital immediately for treatment to avoid further harm to your health.

3. Who is prone to allergies?

1. As the elderly age, the skin's secretory function deteriorates, the skin becomes thinner over the years, and the skin's protective function weakens.

2. Living in an environment of 84 disinfectant for a long time, such as 84 disinfectant production workers, will damage the skin, weaken the protective ability, and cause allergies.

3. Stress, mental tension and depression will weaken the skin's natural resistance, slowing down its self-repair ability and causing allergies.

4. How to avoid allergies to 84 disinfectant

1. When using 84 disinfectant, wear gloves and masks to avoid direct contact with 84 disinfectant to reduce the chance of allergies.

2. Stop using 84 disinfectant or similar products to prevent allergies from happening again.

3. Maintain a good attitude, be positive and optimistic, and diseases will naturally stay away from you.

5. Hazards of 84 Disinfectant

1. 84 disinfectant is a highly effective disinfectant based on sodium hypochlorite (NaClO). It is easy to volatilize chlorine when exposed to the air. Chlorine is a toxic gas that mainly invades the human body through the respiratory tract and dissolves in the moisture contained in the mucous membrane to generate hypochlorous acid and hydrochloric acid, which have harmful effects on the upper respiratory tract mucosa: hypochlorous acid causes strong oxidation of the tissue; hydrochloric acid stimulates the mucosa to cause inflammatory swelling, causing the respiratory mucosa to swell and secrete a large amount of mucus, causing difficulty breathing. Therefore, the obvious symptom of chlorine poisoning is severe coughing. When symptoms are severe, pulmonary edema may occur, making circulation difficult and leading to death. Chlorine gas that enters the body through the esophagus can cause nausea, vomiting, chest pain and diarrhea. The maximum amount of chlorine allowed in 1L of air is 0.001mg. Exceeding this amount will cause human poisoning.

2. 84 disinfectant is highly corrosive and irritating. If you do not use gloves to prevent the skin from contacting the disinfectant, it will cause great irritation to the skin and mucous membranes, and your hands will feel slight pain.

3. After use, 84 disinfectant will remain in the air without evaporating, and it will pollute water sources. What is more frightening is its three-hazard effects - carcinogenic, teratogenic, and gene mutagenic, which will also cause considerable harm to the human body.
