In the early redness and swelling stage of carbuncle, you can choose physical therapy measures such as hot compress, ultrashort wave, infrared ray, etc. You can also apply Chinese medicine Jinhuangsan, Yulusan or ichthyol ointment mixed with oil into a paste to help treatment.

The main ingredients of Huangjin San: 30 grams each of Phellodendron chinense (peel off the rough skin, moisten with raw honey, dry under the scorching sun, then apply honey and dry in the sun for dozens of times) and Phenacao. The usage is to crush the above medicines, roast them, and grind them into fine powder. It is mainly used to treat ulcers in the mouth and tongue of children, and cataracts in the eyes after acne.

Recipe for Yu Lu San: Take any amount of hibiscus leaves, mix with honeysuckle dew and honey, or mix with vegetable oil and apply to the affected area. It can cure erysipelas, sores, carbuncles, purple and red rot, and all heat and toxic diseases.

Quick treatment for boils: Impatient drainage of pus when local suppuration occurs

When pus spots are seen on the top of the furuncle or there is a sense of fluctuation, apply carbolic acid to the pus spots or use a needle to remove the pus plug, or make an incision and drainage. Do not squeeze it.

After the pus comes out, use furacilin, wet gauze or Chinese herbal ointment to dissolve dead tissue and regenerate new tissue until the lesion subsides.

Quick treatment for boils: Antibacterial treatment

If there are systemic symptoms such as fever, headache, general discomfort, facial furuncle or concurrent acute lymphadenitis or lymphangitis, antibacterial drugs such as penicillin or co-sulfamethoxazole can be used for treatment, or Chinese herbal prescriptions for clearing heat and detoxifying can be used.

Patients with diabetes are given hypoglycemic drugs or insulin and other corresponding treatment measures. For refractory patients, immunoglobulin, autologous vaccine or polyvalent staphylococcal vaccine can be injected.

Quick treatment for boils: Chinese medicine treatment

Early days

Main symptoms: Nodules at the beginning, with firm roots, redness, swelling, heat and pain. The tongue is red with thin yellow coating and the pulse is stringy.

Treatment method: clear away heat, detoxify and disperse nodules.

Prescription: You can choose Huanglian Jiedu Decoction with modifications; such as 15 grams each of honeysuckle, forsythia, wild chrysanthemum, dandelion, and plantain, 12 grams each of variola, melon, and red peony root. Additions and subtractions: for high fever, add 30 grams of gypsum and 12 grams of Anemarrhena asphodeloides; for constipation, add 12 grams of rhubarb and 10 grams of Glauber's salt; for dispersing nodules, add 10 grams of pangolin and 10 grams of Gleditsia sinensis.

Mid-term

Main symptoms: In the purulent stage, the nodules are throbbing with pus, yellow-white pus plugs appear, and gradually become soft, with a sense of fluctuation when touched. The tongue is red with yellow coating and the pulse is stringy.

Treatment method: Detoxify and drain pus.

Prescription: Tuoli Tounong Decoction with modifications: 15 grams of ginseng, 10 grams of angelica, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 10 grams of Sophora flavescens, 10 grams of pangolin, 10 grams of Angelica dahurica, 6 grams of Ipomoea australis, 15 grams of honeysuckle, 15 grams of forsythia, and 12 grams of wild chrysanthemum.

Later

Main symptoms: During the ulceration stage, the pus plug ruptures and pus oozes out, the swelling and pain subside, and scabs form. For those who are weak, the scabs may not heal for a long time or new ulcers may occur. The tongue is pale with a thin white coating and the pulse is stringy and thin.

Treatment method: Nourish Qi and blood, promote tissue regeneration and heal the mouth. Prescription: Bazhen Decoction or Shiquan Dabu Decoction.

Ingredients of Bazhen Soup: 10 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 10 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 9 grams of Poria cocos, 6 grams of roasted licorice, 10 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, 8 grams of white peony root, 5 grams of Chuanxiong, and 12 grams of jujube.
