Will the injection of DPT vaccine cause a fever of 40 degrees?

DPT is a common viral disease with a high incidence rate in humans, which can cause great harm to the body. However, DPT is preventable. Modern medicine has developed a DPT vaccine that can effectively prevent it and provide better defense for physical health. However, some people will experience some side effects after receiving the DTP vaccine. For example, will the DTP vaccine cause a high fever of 40 degrees?

The first dose of the diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus vaccine is given to infants at 3 months after birth. To complete the basic immunization of this vaccine, another dose is required at 4 and 5 months after birth. That is, antibodies against three infectious diseases: whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus are produced in the baby's body. Method of vaccination: Intramuscular injection is given in the upper 1/4 of the baby's buttocks or the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. Reaction after vaccination: After the second injection of DTP vaccine, certain reactions often occur due to the increase in the injection dose. For example, the baby will cry and be restless, have difficulty falling asleep, and sometimes have a fever (generally not exceeding 38.5C) on the night after vaccination. The injection site will become red, swollen and painful, and may also make the baby irritable. This reaction usually lasts for 1 to 2 days before recovering on its own without requiring treatment.

Fever itself is not a bad thing. It is a specific manifestation of the body's immune system regulation. However, too high a temperature will cause a significant increase in consumption in the child's body. Some children may even suffer convulsions due to high fever. Therefore, children's fever must be treated scientifically. Children with high fever need to reduce fever under the guidance of a doctor, be examined and actively receive symptomatic treatment.

If the child has a high fever for a long time, you should give him/her more water and cooperate with physical cooling, that is, use a warm water towel to wipe the area behind the ears, neck, bends of large joints of the body and other places where large blood vessels are deformed. Rub repeatedly. You can prepare several kinds of antipyretics and use them alternately. The effect will be better. A warm water towel will do. There are also antipyretics. Sticking them on the forehead can effectively protect the brain. Use Motrin and Tylenol alternately. Keep the antipyretic patch on when the fever is low. If there is no effect, use antipyretic suppositories. Even if they don't work, they can still protect the brain. The child must be wiped with warm water immediately. This is the only way to reduce fever for viral infection. There is no better way to reduce fever than intravenous infusion.
