Vaccination is a very important matter in life. A person must be continuously vaccinated from birth to improve the body's resistance, and the vaccination must be continued for several years. Vaccination cannot be relaxed until the end of puberty. However, some children will miss the opportunity for vaccination and therefore need to get a booster shot. Let's take a look at what vaccines are needed at the age of seven? If a child has completed all the vaccines in our country's immunization program before the age of 7, the only booster shot required at the age of 7 is the rubella vaccine. However, if your child is diagnosed with rubella at that time, there is no need for vaccination. According to the requirements of the National Expanded Immunization Program, children under the age of 7 must complete 11 types of Class I vaccines, a total of 22 injections. For example, 18 vaccinations must be completed within the first two years of age, including 1 BCG shot, 3 hepatitis B shots, 4 diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus shots, 3 polio vaccines, 2 shots of narcotics-containing preparations, 2 shots of group A meningococcal disease, 2 shots of Japanese encephalitis, and 1 hepatitis A shot. Children aged 3-4 years need to complete 1 shot of group A+C vaccine and 1 shot of polio vaccine, for a total of 2 shots; children aged 6-7 years need 1 shot of diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine and 1 shot of group A+C vaccine, for a total of 2 shots. However, there are still many diseases that cannot be controlled by vaccines. For example, chickenpox vaccine, influenza vaccine, pneumonia vaccine, inactivated polio vaccine, etc., these vaccines are all Class II vaccines, which require parents to be informed, voluntary, and pay for them themselves. Regarding the safety of domestic and imported vaccines, I told reporters that both domestic and imported vaccines are safe and effective. Every batch of biological products in our country must be tested by the China Food and Drug Administration and the Biological Products Testing Institute and undergo a batch release report system. Products that fail inspection or are disapproved shall not be put on the market or imported. There is no obvious difference in quality between domestic and imported vaccines, and parents can choose on their own. Regarding the use of Class II vaccines, some parents believe that "Class I vaccines must be given, but Class II vaccines are unnecessary." This is a misunderstanding. Although parents can choose whether to vaccinate their children with Category II vaccines (such as chickenpox, pneumonia, HIB vaccine, influenza, etc.), it does not mean that these vaccines are not important. It’s just that our country does not currently have the conditions for popularization. |
