1. Raw materials for the production of polyacrylamide

Polyacrylamide is a linear high molecular polymer, and its products are mainly divided into two forms: dry powder and colloid. According to their average molecular weight, they can be divided into three categories: low molecular weight (<1 million), medium molecular weight (2 million to 4 million) and high molecular weight (>7 million). According to its structure, it can be divided into non-ionic, anionic and cationic types. Anionic types are mostly water decomposition products of PAM. The main chain of polyacrylamide carries a large number of amide groups and has high chemical activity. It can be modified to produce many polyacrylamide derivatives. The products have been widely used in papermaking, mineral processing, oil production, metallurgy, building materials, sewage treatment and other industries. Polyacrylamide is widely used as a lubricant, suspending agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, fluid loss reducer and thickener in drilling, acidizing, fracturing, water plugging, cementing, secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil recovery. It is an extremely important oilfield chemical.

Close and extensive contact can cause subacute poisoning, with the poisoned person showing symptoms of drowsiness, cerebellar dysfunction, and sensorimotor polyneuropathy.
