Oral disinfection process

Oral disinfection process

There are a large number of bacteria in everyone's mouth. Because the mouth is the part that comes into contact with the most things, the bacteria in the food will remain in the mouth. If there are too many bacteria, it can cause oral inflammation and swollen gums. Before performing a tooth extraction, the doctor will generally disinfect the patient's mouth to avoid signs of wound infection. It is also very necessary to understand the oral disinfection process at this time.

Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization process and treatment principles for oral instruments

1. First, wash the used instruments (such as needles, oral treatment instruments, tooth extraction instruments) with running water, and then put them into the first and second trays of immersion box liquid (2% glutaraldehyde). Soak for 10 hours.

2. Put the soaked equipment. Soak in a shaker for 15 minutes and then shake for 5 minutes. (The internal solution is a multi-enzyme cleaning agent, which mainly removes dirt and decomposes protein)

3. Then put it into the cleaning pool and wash away the residual liquid with running water.

4. Then place the tiny root canal treatment instruments into a high-pressure steam sodium collection box and sterilize them in a high-pressure steam oven for 45 minutes.

5. First wipe the used mobile phone with a cotton ball soaked in 75% alcohol. Then put it into the mobile phone cleaning and refueling machine and clean and refuel for 3 minutes.

6. Then seal it in a sealed bag containing a disinfection indicator card. The disinfection time and the registrant are marked on the sealed bag.

7. Put it into the high-pressure sterilization equipment, vacuum it three times, and sterilize it at 134℃ for 45 minutes.

8. Soak the used tooth extraction instruments in an oscillator for 15 minutes and then oscillate for 5 minutes.

9. Put it in the cleaning pool and wash it with running water.

10. Dry the equipment with a sterilized towel.

11. Seal in the sealed bag containing the disinfection indicator card. The disinfection time and the registrant are marked on the sealed bag.

12. Put it into the high-pressure sterilization equipment, vacuum it three times, and sterilize it at 134℃ for 45 minutes.

13. Finally, place the sterilized instruments neatly in the sterile tray or cabinet in chronological order. When the doctor uses it, the nurse takes it out from the sterile tray or cabinet.

14. Used intraoral instruments must be disposed of through strict garbage sorting and destruction.
