Height determines cancer rate, revealing who is most likely to get cancer

The media recently summarized the research in recent years by the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer, the U.S. National Cancer Institute, Harvard University in the United States, and Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and pointed out that the following 10 types of people have a higher risk of cancer and should take precautions as early as possible.

1. Too tall

A survey of women between 1.5 and 1.8 metres in height at Oxford University found that for every 10 centimetres increase in height, a woman's risk of cancer increases by 16 per cent.

2. Love to eat red meat

The American Cancer Society conducted a 20-year group survey on the eating habits of more than 500,000 Americans and found that the group that ate the most red meat had a twice as high risk of developing rectal cancer as the group that ate the least red meat, and a 40% higher risk of developing colon cancer.

3. Drink hot tea

Studies have found that tea temperature above 68.8 degrees Celsius is considered hot tea. If the tea temperature is above 70 degrees Celsius, the risk of esophageal cancer can increase by up to 8 times.

4. Staying up late

Light from lights at night reduces the secretion of melatonin, which inhibits tumors. Disrupting your normal routine can also damage the immune system and hinder the elimination of cancer cells.

5. Vitamin Lack

Studies have found that a lack of vitamin A and β-carotene increases the risk of lung cancer by 3 times; a lack of vitamin C increases the risk of esophageal cancer and gastric cancer by 2 times and 3.5 times, respectively.

times; People who lack vitamin E have an increased risk of oral cancer, skin cancer, cervical cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, and lung cancer.

6. High-density lipoprotein is too low

While high cholesterol levels are harmful to your health, low cholesterol levels are not a good thing either. A study by the Harvard School of Public Health found that if the level of "good" cholesterol: high-density lipoprotein is lower than 2.8 mmol/l, the risk of lymphoma and leukemia will increase.

7. One of the spouses has cancer

Although cancer is not contagious, couples have similar lifestyles and are susceptible to the same carcinogenic factors, so if one person gets cancer, the chance of the other also getting cancer is higher.

8. Holding back urine

Holding urine causes more harm to women than men. The female urinary and reproductive system has a special structure and is more susceptible to infection. In severe cases, the toxins in the urine can constantly irritate the bladder wall and may induce bladder cancer.

9. Parents have cancer

Studies have shown that breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and colon cancer are the four cancers with the greatest genetic predisposition. In addition, the offspring of cancer patients are more likely to develop cancer.

10. Smokers

The National Cancer Institute of the United States points out that smoking remains a major cause of cancer and has a high mortality rate. Smokers have an increased risk of developing lung cancer, esophageal cancer, laryngeal cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, uterine cancer, and acute myeloid leukemia.
