According to traditional Chinese medicine, headaches are caused by external pathogenic factors of wind, cold and dampness and internal injuries to the liver, spleen and kidneys.

Scraping sequence

The techniques and order of scraping are based on the body parts, namely the head and neck, back, upper limbs and legs.

Scraping Angle

The angle between the scraping tool and the skin should be 45 degrees. It should not be a pushing or cutting motion. The scraping direction should be from top to bottom and from inside to outside, while maintaining the same angle. Scrape each part about 20 times.

Note after scraping

The patient needs to rest for a while (about 15 minutes) and be careful not to catch a cold. If sweating occurs, please wipe it off immediately and drink warm water (do not drink ice water) or ginger soup to facilitate the body's metabolism. Usually, the affected area will feel painful within 2 to 3 days after scraping, which is a normal reaction.

If you catch wind-cold, you will have a headache that extends to the neck and back, fear of wind and cold, a thin white tongue coating, and a floating or tight pulse; if you catch wind-heat, you will have a swollen and painful head, or even a splitting headache, aversion to wind and fever, red face and eyes, thirst, yellow urine, constipation, a thin yellow tongue coating, and a rapid pulse; if you catch rheumatism, you will have a headache as if wrapped, heavy limbs, a greasy white tongue coating, and a moist pulse.
