How to clean blood stains on clothes?

In daily life, people are bound to bleed due to bumps or other reasons, and these blood stains will inevitably remain on clothes and need to be cleaned. Some blood stains on clothes are easy to clean, while others are difficult to clean. It mainly depends on whether the blood stains are fresh or old, and the fabric of the clothes. Next, I will introduce to you how to clean blood stains on clothes.

1. Fresh blood stains

Fresh blood stains on any fabric can be removed by washing with water. When washing, use clean cold water and then use soap or laundry detergent.

2. Older blood stains on clothing

You can wash with lemon juice and salt water. After the blood stains are removed, rinse with clean water.

3. Blood stains on fine dyed silk and wool garments

You can use starch and water to make a paste. After mixing, apply the paste on the blood stain and let it dry. After it is completely dry, scrape off the starch, wash it with soapy water first, then rinse it with clean water, and finally wash it with vinegar solution made of 15 grams of vinegar and 1 liter of water. The effect is quite good.

4. Blood stains on white clothing

You can soak the fabric in a 3% vinegar solution, leave it for 12 hours, and then rinse it with water. The effect is good. When the blood stains on white clothing are old and firmly attached to the clothes, they can be removed with "Fade Away". You can also use a 5% baking soda solution to soak it, take it out after soaking it overnight, then soak the blood stains with a bleach solution (1 part bleaching powder to 10 parts water), and rinse it carefully with water.

5. Other tips

When it just gets stained, wash it with soap or 10% potassium iodide solution; use white radish juice or mashed carrots mixed with salt to remove blood stains on clothes; wipe the stained area with 10% tartaric acid solution, and then wash it with cold water; use enzyme laundry detergent to remove blood stains, the effect is very good; if the stain has been there for a long time, wipe the stained area with 10% ammonia water or 3% hydrogen peroxide, and after a while, wash it with strong cold water. If it is still not clean, wash it with 10-15% oxalic acid solution and finally rinse it with clean water. Whether it is a new stain or an old stain, it can be cleaned by rubbing with sulfur soap. Apply hand oil on the blood stain, leave it on for about 15 minutes, and then wash it with clean water and soap.
