7. During the acute phase, you should rest in bed, avoid excessive use of voice and talking, avoid recurrent attacks of acute pharyngitis, maintain a natural posture when speaking, relax the muscles of the lips, tongue, chin, throat, shoulders and chest, try to use the abdomen to make sounds, do not speak with tense neck muscles, and avoid excessive use of the voice for long periods of time.
