We often find that some patients often suffer from migraines, nausea and vomiting, and sometimes even pain in their eyes, and they have no mood to do anything. This symptom is mostly related to vascular headaches. Generally, lowering the head, exerting force or coughing will aggravate this symptom. Therefore, migraine is still very harmful to the body. It is best to go to the hospital for an EEG examination and reduce excessive fatigue and mental work in normal times, so as to better help restore health. 1. The first test to be done for migraine is EEG It is generally believed that the incidence of EEG abnormalities in migraine patients is higher than that in the normal control group, both during the attack and the intermittent period. However, the EEG changes in migraine patients are not specific because they can have normal waveforms. There are various waveforms including common slow waves, spike wave discharges, focal spike waves, wave-like waves, and abnormal reactions to hyperventilation and flash stimulation. The abnormal rate of EEG in children with migraine is relatively high, ranging from 9% to 70%. Spike waves, paroxysmal slow waves, fast wave activity and diffuse slow waves may appear. The examination rate of EEG is very accurate. 2. Cerebral blood flow examination The main changes in the patient's cerebral blood flow map during the attack and intermittent periods are the asymmetry of the amplitude on both sides, one side is higher or the other side is lower. 3. Cerebral angiography In principle, migraine patients do not need to undergo cerebral angiography. Only when the headache attack is severe and the patient is highly suspected of having subarachnoid hemorrhage will cerebral angiography be performed in order to rule out diseases such as intracranial aneurysms and arterial malformations. Undoubtedly, cerebral angiography in the vast majority of patients with migraine is normal. 4. Cerebrospinal fluid examination Routine examination of cerebrospinal fluid in patients with migraine is usually normal, and in general, the number of lymphocytes in the cerebrospinal fluid may be increased. 5. Platelet function test Platelet aggregation may be increased in patients with migraine. |
