What to do during flu fever

What to do during flu fever

Nowadays, the bodies of many people do not meet the basic health standards. Many people have sub-health problems and are relatively weak. In addition, they stay in crowded places for a long time, so it is easy to get sick during the peak influenza season. Most people get influenza in spring and autumn, because the air is drier at this time, viruses and bacteria spread quickly, and people often go out in this season, so various viruses and bacteria will occur at this time. For influenza fever, it is necessary to judge whether you have had contact with certain groups of people before, whether you often go to secret places, or abuse other people's things. If you have a sore throat or fever, if the fever can be relieved quickly, this is a common symptom, but if it is not relieved for a long time, and the medicine does not work, then you must go to the hospital for examination, otherwise it may be transmitted to more people.

What to do if you have a fever during the flu

In the second case, if you have been to an epidemic area, taken the same car or flight as a suspected patient, or are from the same area, you should go to the hospital in time to seek medical treatment even if you have only a slight fever or feel unwell all over, and tell the doctor that you have had such an experience. In addition, these people should pay more attention to the epidemic information released by the media, and whether there have been cases on the flights they have taken.

In the third case, if you have a fever of over 39 degrees, a severe cough, a feeling of shortness of breath, an obvious sore throat, and a persistent high fever, accompanied by severe diarrhea and other symptoms, you should also consider going to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.

For the latter two categories of people, if a high fever suddenly occurs, they should take the following steps to seek medical attention.

The first step is not to stay at home, but to wear a mask and go to a hospital with a fever clinic as soon as possible.

The second step is to not take public transportation such as buses or subways. It is best to take a taxi and ask for a receipt when you get off the taxi.

The third step is to choose a hospital nearby, not one far away.

Step 4: Go directly to the fever clinic instead of the general clinic or emergency department.

The fifth step is to report several pieces of information to the doctor when you arrive at the fever clinic: whether you have been to the epidemic area, whether you have had contact with foreigners recently, whether anyone around you has shown symptoms, whether many people have fallen ill, whether you have lived with suspected patients or taken transportation together, whether your family members have had contact with foreigners, whether your family members have had fever, whether you came to the clinic as soon as you had a fever or took medicine on your own, etc.

Step 6. After the doctor’s questioning, if the suspected possibility is ruled out, there is no need to worry, because many viruses can cause fever, which is generally attributed to respiratory infectious diseases or common influenza. If it is common flu, you should drink more water, rest more, or get an injection of antibiotics in the hospital. If you have a common upper respiratory tract viral infection, generally no treatment is required. If the body temperature is high, you may want to take some antipyretic treatment, or check your blood routine and blood count, etc.

Step 7. Anyone who has been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case and has a fever (generally above 37.5 degrees), as well as symptoms such as general discomfort, sore throat, and red throat, generally needs to be transferred to a local designated infectious disease hospital for isolation, and the doctor will use rapid test reagents for serological testing. As long as early treatment is carried out in time, most people can recover.
