Itchy inside calf

Itchy inside calf

People may experience leg cramps when they engage in strenuous exercise or do some exercise that they don't do often. Leg cramps seem to be a simple thing and will not cause any serious symptoms of illness, but you still need to pay attention to them when exercising. The calf is an important part of the human leg, but calf cramps often occur. So what causes cramps in the front of the calf?

1. Overwork:

Calf cramps while sleeping may be caused by being too tired, not by any disease, let alone epilepsy.

If the calves are exercised too much or exerted too much force during the day, such as riding a bicycle all day or walking for a long time, the calf muscles will still be tense at night and the legs will not be relaxed. A lot of lactic acid has not been metabolized in time, which will cause calf cramps at night and unbearable pain.

Therefore, if your calves do a lot of exercise during the day, you must remember to relax your calves for a while, or reduce the amount of exercise your calves do during the day.

2. Cold legs:

Calf cramps in the middle of the night may also be caused by not keeping the legs warm enough. When the legs are exposed to cold, the local muscles in the calf can spasm, which is what people often call cramps. Therefore, you should not expose your feet when you sleep at night, and make sure to keep your legs warm.

When turning on the air conditioner in the summer, do not set the temperature too low, because in the summer many people only cover their stomachs when sleeping in air-conditioned rooms, and their legs can easily catch cold, leading to calf cramps in the middle of the night. So remember to cover your legs with a blanket to prevent your legs from catching cold and causing calf cramps in the middle of the night.

3. Calcium deficiency:

Leg cramps while sleeping may also be caused by calcium deficiency. Calf cramps in the middle of the night caused by calcium deficiency mostly occur in the elderly, children, and pregnant women. The elderly are prone to calcium deficiency and should take more calcium supplements. Calcium deficiency will increase muscle irritability and increase the chance of calf cramps in the middle of the night.

Therefore, the elderly, children, and pregnant women must supplement calcium in their daily lives. Appropriate calcium supplementation for children can help them grow taller, and calcium supplementation for the elderly can prevent osteoporosis. When varicose veins or deep vein thrombosis occur in the legs, blood stasis will occur, which will then cause leg muscle spasms.

4. Excessive tightness of leg muscles:

Calf cramps in the middle of the night may also be because many women like to wear high heels during the day, which causes tight leg muscles and calf cramps at night. Therefore, it is best for women not to wear high heels often. It is best to wear flat shoes that make their legs comfortable.

Why do people get calf cramps when they are sleeping in the middle of the night? Most people have it because of calcium deficiency or because their legs are cold. If you want to stop your calf cramps, you should be prepared to keep warm. In the summer, you should also drink more light salt water to replenish sodium ions, especially after a lot of exercise, you must drink a glass of light salt water in time. This is very necessary.
