The experiment found that the maximum tolerated oral dose of the two animals was 24 mg/kg/d, which is 10 times the clinical dose. Levodropropizine has only a minor effect at 30 times the clinical dose.

The side effects of levodropropizine tablets are minor and rare. The main symptoms are gastrointestinal reactions, nausea, upper abdominal pain, indigestion, vomiting, diarrhea, central nervous system reactions, fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, palpitations, dry mouth, etc., occasionally visual impairment, rash, and difficulty breathing are rare. Transient elevations in transaminases may be seen at high doses.
