Three common causes of leg pain

1. Osteoporosis

The pain spreads to both sides along the spine. It is relieved when lying on your back or sitting, and it is aggravated when you stretch your back when standing upright or when standing or sitting for a long time. It is aggravated when you bend over, cough, or strain when defecating. Generally, bone pain occurs when bone loss exceeds 12%. If the corresponding spinal nerves are compressed, radiating pain in the limbs, sensory and motor disorders in both lower limbs, intercostal neuralgia, and pain behind the sternum similar to angina pectoris may occur.

2. Osteoarthritis

The pain is more severe when getting up in the morning, and it will be relieved after a little movement. The pain will recur if you move too frequently, and will be relieved again after rest. Leg pain caused by osteoarthritis of the knee is related to climate change. Leg pain worsens when it is cold and relieved when it is warm. At the same time, patients have weakness in their knees when walking, and the pain is significantly aggravated when going up and down stairs.

3. Lower limb arteriosclerosis

The main clinical manifestations are coldness, numbness, pain, intermittent claudication, disappearance of arterial pulsation, limb tissue nutritional disorders, ulcers or gangrene of the toes or feet.

Treatment

1. Periarthritis of shoulder, back pain, sciatica, lumbar disc herniation

Roast seven earthworms (upper part) into ashes, add seven liang of rice wine, and soak them in a bottle for seven days and seven nights. Drink seven qian of rice wine at seven o'clock every night, and hit the affected area with your fist for 49 times. Those who are seriously ill can take more courses of treatment to recover.

2. Walking backwards to treat low back pain

Find a flat ground, put your hands on your hips, straighten your back, look straight ahead, and walk backwards, you can increase your speed appropriately. When practicing backward walking, it will be better to do some waist exercises.

3. Hot medicinal wine to cure old cold legs

Put one or two ounces of safflower and one or two ounces of radix safflower into a clay basin, pour in two level bowls of water, simmer for half an hour, then add one or two ounces of white wine. After leaving it for a while, put it under the knees while it's still hot (sitting on the bed), cover your legs tightly with a quilt, and fumigate your legs with the hot medicinal wine (be sure not to burn them). It's best to do it in autumn and winter, and fumigate once every night before going to bed. It's effective if you persist.

4. Mulberry and willow branches can treat back and leg pain

Take a handful of mulberry branches and a handful of willow branches, boil them in water for 30 minutes, and then use them to fumigate the affected area. This can cure low back and leg pain, especially that caused by wind and cold.

5. Mustard for leg pain

Grind the mustard greens and apply them to the affected area to treat leg pain.

6. Orange peel and fennel stalks can treat back sprains and cramps.

Add one or two grams of orange peel and fennel stalks to two bowls of water. When there is only one bowl of water left, pour the soup into a bowl. Add appropriate amount of brown sugar and take it while it is hot before going to bed at night. Take once a day for three or four days as a course of treatment.

7. Homemade medicinal wine for leg pain

A bottle of white wine (Erguotou will do), a bottle of honey, and a handful of chopped ginger. Mix the wine and honey in a 1:1 ratio and soak the ginger in it. It can be used after 10 days, drink 1 small glass of wine and eat some ground ginger at the same time.

8. Turning your body to treat back pain

When sitting, keep the legs 20 to 30 cm apart, with the lumbar spine as the center, lean the body slightly to the left, and turn 36 times. Then lean the body slightly to the right, and turn 36 times. Then sit upright, lean forward and backward in a small range of 72 times. The whole activity forms a cycle, which can be completed in about 5 to 6 minutes. Do it once in the morning and once in the evening every day, but be careful not to lower your body below the waist belt when you turn your body left or right.

9. Electric irons can treat back pain

If you plug in a 500-watt electric iron for one and a half minutes and then unplug it, it can be used for half an hour. If the temperature is too high at the beginning, you can put two layers of clothes on the affected area. As the temperature gradually decreases, you can remove clothes until they are in direct contact with the affected area.

10. Hawthorn fruit (also known as hawthorn) plus brown sugar to treat leg pain

Use one pound of red fruits (pitted) and one pound of brown sugar, add water and boil into a paste, drink it while hot, until you sweat, and cover your legs with a quilt. Take it 3 to 5 times in a row and you will see the effect.
