What are the symptoms of mucositis?

The oral mucosa is a simple skin tissue, and compared with other body surface skin, the mucosa is a very thin tissue with almost no strong resistance. Therefore, the mucosa is a very vulnerable part of the human body and is one of the windows for viruses to invade the human body. Mucositis is a typical manifestation. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of mucositis.

It can be caused by common cold or influenza, and some other infectious diseases may cause mucositis symptoms at the beginning, such as etc. Acute catarrh is most common in sexual intercourse (hay fever) and manifests as runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, and sneezing. It may also cause chronic mucositis, in which mucus from infected sinuses flows into the back of the pharynx, causing coughing. Breathing becomes labored when lying flat; if a large amount of mucus is swallowed, it can cause stomach discomfort or even vomiting. Chronic allergic rhinitis can occasionally be caused by chondroitinib, and enlarged tonsils.

symptom:

(1) Caused by oral mucosal diseases:

For example, summer-onset oral ulcers, herpetic stomatitis, hand, foot and mouth disease, pemphigus and secondary ulcers of pemphigoid, etc., these ulcers generally will not become malignant as long as antibacterial, antiviral, anti-allergic and other treatment measures are adopted in time, or the syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine are adopted. But it should be noted that the symptoms of oral mucositis, which are precancerous lesions, should not be taken lightly. If long-lasting ulcers appear on the basis of lesions such as leukoplakia, erythema, and lichen planus, you should be highly vigilant.

(2) Traumatic ulcers:

This is a type of ulcer that is directly related to local irritants. The residual crown left by a fractured tooth, calculus deposited on the surface of the tooth, uneven or misplaced teeth, the bad habit of biting the cheek, sharp edges formed by tooth wear, and roughly made dentures can all cause traumatic ulcers. For this type of oral mucositis symptom, as long as the causative factors are discovered as early as possible, timely measures can be taken such as removing residual roots and crowns, grinding sharp edges, cleaning tartar, and correcting cheek biting habits. If you take measures such as re-denture your teeth, they will heal quickly. However, if discovered too late and ineffective measures are taken, traumatic oral ulcers may turn into cancer.

(3) "Malignant ulcer" caused by tumor:

This type of ulcer is the result of local invasive development of a malignant tumor, and systemic manifestations of the malignant tumor may appear before the ulcer appears.
