Are there any male transmission routes for hepatitis B? Take precautions to prevent future troubles

Many people do not know what the transmission routes of hepatitis B are. They just think that contact with hepatitis B patients will cause the disease to spread. In fact, it is not that scary. The common transmission routes are mainly mother-to-child transmission, medical transmission, and sexual transmission. As long as the patient pays attention, the disease will generally not be transmitted too seriously.

Hepatitis B is transmitted through:

1. Mother-to-child transmission.

It is currently the main cause of hepatitis B virus infection in my country. Mothers with acute hepatitis B and those who are HBsAg carriers may transmit hepatitis B to their newborns. The essence of this transmission is through blood.

2. Transmission through blood.

Including transfusion of blood and blood products containing hepatitis B virus, unclean injections, surgery, tooth extraction, tattoos, acupuncture, ear piercing, endoscopic examinations and accidental stabbings by medical staff. Now, due to strengthened screening of blood donors, the transmission of hepatitis B caused by blood transfusion is very rare. However, a small amount of blood that is positive for HBV DNA but negative for hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) may still be missed. Therefore, the transmission of hepatitis B through blood has not been completely eliminated.

3. Medically transmitted disease.

It is mainly caused by the use of non-disposable syringes and endoscopes that have not been strictly sterilized. Therefore, disposable medical devices should be vigorously promoted. The country is now formulating stricter disinfection standards for endoscopes, which can greatly reduce medical-induced transmission.

4. Sexually transmitted.

The HBsAg positivity rate of sexually transmitted HBsAg is 5.44%, while the HBsAg positivity rate of general contact transmission in social life is only 0.68%. Therefore, within a family, an HBsAg-positive spouse is more likely to be infected with hepatitis B than other family members. Sexual promiscuity is an important cause of sexual transmission of hepatitis B.

5. Transmission through general contact in daily life. This situation mainly refers to daily contact involving exchange of body fluids, such as sharing razors, toothbrushes and other hygiene products. So, home
