How to care for intestinal polyps? Pay attention to these issues

If you suffer from intestinal polyps, you will feel excruciating pain if you are not careful with your diet. The colic is so severe that it feels like a knife is scraping your intestines. Not paying attention to healthy eating, overeating, liking to eat greasy and spicy food, liking to drink alcohol, or stimulating beverages can easily lead to intestinal polyps. An irregular lifestyle is also closely related to the disease. Understanding the pathogenic mechanism of intestinal polyps can help us better avoid this type of intestinal disease in our lives.

Five major causes of colon polyps:

1. Long-term diarrhea:

Many patients are prone to allergies in the intestinal mucosa. For example, they will have diarrhea after drinking, eating hot peppers, greasy food or seafood. Some patients will have diarrhea for no reason. In this way, the intestinal mucosa will have chronic inflammation, which can easily lead to the growth of intestinal polyps.

2. Gene mutation and genetic factors:

It is generally believed that the formation of polyps is closely related to gene mutation and genetic factors. Current research shows that mutated genes can be inherited from parents to their offspring, and men and women have equal inheritance opportunities without gender differences.

3. Inflammatory stimulation:

Long-term chronic inflammation of the rectal mucosa can cause polypoid granulomas on the intestinal mucosa. Because of long-term inflammation of the rectum, there is still an edematous and congested mucosal area in the center of the ulcer surface. After the surrounding ulcers heal, scars are formed and gradually shrink, causing the remaining mucosa to bulge and the surface to appear polyp-like; or the ulcer causes granulation tissue to protrude and then grow adjacent to the mucosa, covering it to form a polyp. This pathological change is more common in inflammatory polyps.

4. Dietary factors:

Dietary factors have a certain relationship with the formation of rectal polyps, especially the interaction between bacteria and bile acid may be the basis for the formation of adenomatous polyps. A dietary fat component exceeding 40% is an important factor in the formation of colorectal polyps. If fat intake does not exceed 15% of the diet, the incidence of colorectal polyps is lower. A high-fat diet can increase bile acid in the colon and rectum.

5. Long-term constipation:

Constipated patients often defecate once every few days. The long-term storage of feces in the intestines will produce various toxins, leading to chronic inflammation of the intestinal mucosa and the growth of polyps.
