Do you know about scar removal? What is scar removal?

Scar excision is a new treatment method for scar repair, which is usually performed through surgery. Its main function is to reduce the size of scar tissue so that it no longer leaves noticeable marks. The target population is mostly patients with skin scars, trauma, infection, etc., especially facial scars. Whether the patient has a large scar or a small scar, scar removal surgery has specific treatment methods.

1. Simple excision and suture method. Suitable for small and medium-sized facial scars of the third category. After the skin scar is removed, the wound is carefully closed with a small needle and fine thread, leaving only a thin scar line after the operation.

2. Facial scar excision plus skin grafting. It is suitable for patients with scars over a larger area. The face is divided into sections according to the natural shape, and a whole piece of skin is filled in the divided area. The number of skin parts to be transplanted is determined based on the amount of scar removed. It is suitable for patients with facial scars covering the entire face. That is, the entire facial scar is removed at one time and a whole piece of skin is transplanted. This can avoid the formation of scars at the connection between partitioned skin grafts. The postoperative appearance is better than that of partitioned skin grafts, the color of the face will not be too dark, and the cosmetic effect is better.

The operation uses CO2 laser focused excision (power 15-20W, adjust the laser knife power according to the size of the scar). The cutting surface is at the base in front of the scar, and the excision surface is appropriately larger as it infiltrates the scar around it. After all the scars are removed, the charred materials on the wound surface are cleared, and a Tirsh skin graft is performed. After the skin graft is implanted, it is soaked in corticosteroid solution. In addition to local application, corticosteroid drugs are given orally or intravenously. The dosage of vitamin C can also be increased, with 6 to 8 grams/V of vitamin C dripped intravenously each time, and multivitamin treatment can be used as an auxiliary.

3. Use the flap method to repair scars. It is suitable for scar repair near some facial organs, such as nasal wing defect, ectropion deformity, corner of mouth deformity, etc. After skin flap transplantation, its color is closer to facial skin, and it can also be used to fill and repair sunken defects in some facial tissues.
