What is the best way to treat anxiety and phobia?

Nowadays, many young people often encounter this problem, that is, they are often irritable, especially at work, they feel that there is a mess and the anger in their hearts is very serious. In fact, in normal times, everyone must know about anxiety disorder and who needs treatment. Generally, they need to control their emotions and regulate themselves.

Anxiety is a common emotion. People experience varying degrees of anxiety in different situations and will try to prevent adverse situations that cause anxiety and actively engage in activities that reduce anxiety. This is a protective response. When the severity of anxiety is disproportionate to the objective events or situations or lasts too long, it becomes pathological anxiety, clinically known as anxiety symptoms. Anxiety symptoms manifest as both mental and physical symptoms. Mental symptoms refer to an inner experience of fear, anxiety and apprehension accompanied by nervousness and uneasiness; physical symptoms are symptoms of autonomic nervous system hyperfunction accompanied by mental symptoms, such as palpitations, shortness of breath, chest tightness, dry mouth, sweating, muscle tension tremors, tremors or facial flushing, pallor, etc. Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental disorders. According to a WHO survey, the lifetime prevalence of anxiety disorders in the population is 13.6%-28.8%, and the annual prevalence is 5.6%-19.3%. The study found that the five main risk factors associated with anxiety disorders are: 1) family history of anxiety disorders; 2) history of anxiety disorders in childhood or adolescence, severe shyness, and poor early education; 3) stressful life events or traumatic events, including abuse; 4) female, unmarried, divorced, widowed, low education, unemployment, and low income; 5) comorbid mental disorders, especially depression.

There are many psychological treatment methods suitable for anxiety and fear, but cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is still the most widely used, easiest to use, practical and recognized effective. Disease prevention and control guidelines in many countries have recommended the combination of medication and psychotherapy as the first-line treatment method. The principles of psychotherapy for anxiety and phobia include: 1) dealing with anxiety symptoms, such as relaxation and biofeedback; 2) dealing with fear or phobia disorders, such as relaxation and exposure (overcoming avoidance behavior); 3) changing inappropriate anxious cognitions, such as catastrophic thinking; 4) learning to patiently, carefully and attentively "see through the symptoms to understand the patient's true inner experience or conflict."

In short, we must know that anxiety and fear are normal emotional responses of humans in certain specific situations and are our protective responses to adapt to the environment. In most cases, what affects us the most and causes us unhappiness is not so much the emotions of anxiety and fear themselves, but our "anxiety about anxiety", that is, a problem at the cognitive level. Our ultimate goal is to make ourselves live a more exciting, fulfilling and happier life during our lifetime. Therefore, when facing the painful torture of anxiety and fear, the ultimate treatment goal is not so much that we defeat anxiety and fear, but that we accept it; not so much that we overcome anxiety and fear, but that we learn to live with it. Believe in yourself. We have the ability to conquer and transform the world. We also have the ability to re-understand and re-examine ourselves. Let us dance with the world.
