What are the causes of eczema on hands?

Eczema is a common skin disease. Once it occurs, it will bring a lot of trouble to your life and must be treated according to the disease. Judging from the symptoms, there are three causes of eczema on the hands: hereditary, allergic, and contact. During the treatment process, you must avoid using soap and other alkaline hand sanitizers.

1. Causes of eczema on hands

1. Heredity: Eczema on the hands is actually closely related to heredity. Generally, the heredity rate of hand eczema is as high as 50%. With such a high inheritance probability, it will naturally be easily passed on to the next generation, which will naturally lead to many people suffering from hand eczema in their lives.

2. Allergies: If you have an improper diet, that is, if you eat allergic foods, it will cause eczema on your hands. Lamb, seafood, pollen, and animal hair are common allergens, which can easily cause skin allergies, and thus induce eczema on your hands.

3. Contact: Eczema on the hands is related to the objects that the hands come into contact with, such as some alkaline hand sanitizers, shampoos, etc. Most cases have a slow onset, with dark red spots appearing on the back of the hands, fingers, etc., which are infiltrated and thickened with clear edges, dry and rough surfaces, and often have cracks in winter.

2. The care methods for eczema on the hands are:

1. Apply wet compress with a semi-dry cold towel. This can relieve itching and gradually ease eczematous skin inflammation. You can apply wet compress as long as you feel itching, with no limit on the number of times.

2. Eat some bitter foods such as bananas, pears, kiwis, carambolas, cucumbers, spinach, eggplants, water spinach, duck eggs, duck meat, rabbit meat, sweet potatoes, mung bean soup, bitter gourd, etc. in moderation.

3. Try to avoid contact with substances that are prone to cause allergies in terms of food, clothing, housing, transportation, etc., and avoid various suspected pathogenic factors as much as possible, such as washing with hot water, excessive use of soap, scratching hard, and improper use of external medications. You should also strengthen physical exercise to improve your allergic constitution.

The above is an introduction to what causes eczema on the hands and how to care for it. I wish the patients a speedy recovery.
