Blood uric acid is uric acid in the serum, which is the final product of purine metabolism. High blood uric acid is related to many factors, and you should also pay attention to your diet. Many people also don’t know what is considered high blood uric acid. Generally speaking, the normal range of blood uric acid is different for men and women. 1. It is generally believed that blood uric acid levels exceeding 360 micromol/L are considered hyperuricemia. Clinically, hyperuricemia can only be diagnosed when blood uric acid exceeds 390 micromol/L. When blood uric acid exceeds 420 μmol/L, hyperuricemia is already very clear. The blood uric acid levels of most gout patients exceed 420 μmol/L. In pathophysiology, the solubility of uric acid in blood is above 420 μmol/L, which has reached a supersaturated state. At this time, uric acid in blood is very easy to deposit in tissues and cause gout. The danger of asymptomatic hyperuricemia is gout attacks or eventual kidney stones. 2. Normal value of blood uric acid: 149~416umol/L for men; 89~357umol/L for women; 250~476 for men over 60 years old, 190~434 for women. Reasons for high uric acid: The daily production and excretion of uric acid in the body are approximately equal. In terms of production, 1/3 comes from food and 2/3 is synthesized by the body itself. The excretion route is 1/3 through the intestines and 2/3 through the kidneys. If there is a problem in any of the above-mentioned pathways, it will cause an increase in uric acid. High uric acid levels should be taken seriously, as long-term high uric acid levels can cause gout attacks. 3. It is recommended that patients with high uric acid levels cooperate with treatment and drink more water in their daily lives, maintaining 1500-3000 ml per day, drinking small amounts multiple times to help excrete uric acid. Avoid eating large amounts of high-purine foods, such as peanuts, beef, pork, seafood, such as animal offal, sardines, tuna, beans and fermented foods; fish, shrimp, fresh meat, peas, spinach, wine, etc. Avoid drinking alcohol. Alcohol can easily cause lactic acid to accumulate in the body, inhibit the excretion of uric acid, and easily induce gout. The amount of protein in the daily diet should be controlled at about 1 gram per kilogram of body weight. Combine work and rest, and exercise more. People within the normal range do not need to deliberately follow a uric acid diet, as long as they do not eat large amounts of high-purine foods every day. However, for uric acid patients, since high uric acid is caused by diet, they must control their diet. |
