What is cholestatic urticaria?

Many people may have their body temperature rise due to heat exercise or nervous tension, which causes acetylcholine and cell hypertrophy, leading to disease. This is what we usually call cholealgic urticaria. If the symptoms are mild, digestion may cause dizziness. If it is severe, it may even lead to fainting. So people must know the cause of cholealgic urticaria and take precautions.

1. Drug-induced: Most drugs are caused by allergic reactions. Common drugs include: penicillin, furazolidone, serum products, etc.

2. Food causes: Mainly animal protein foods, such as fish, shrimp, crab, eggs, milk and other seafood are common causes of disease. Certain fruits and vegetables can also cause allergies. Condiments, preservatives, pigments added to food, and natural or synthetic substances in food such as salicylic acid and citric acid can also cause autumn urticaria.

3. Inhalation of animal dander, pollen, fungal spores, dust, feathers, etc.

4. It can be caused by bacterial infection, fungal infection, viral infection, parasitic infection, etc.

5. Insects such as mosquitoes, fleas, bees, wasps, etc.

6. Cold, heat, sunlight, friction, pressure, mechanical stimulation, etc.

7. Gastrointestinal diseases, tumors, connective tissue diseases, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders, etc. can also be the causes of autumn urticaria.

8. Mental stress, mood swings, depression, etc. can also be the triggering factors of autumn urticaria.

It manifests as round papular wheals with a diameter of 2 to 4 mm that appear a few minutes after stimulation, surrounded by varying degrees of redness, which often spread to the upper trunk and upper limbs and do not merge with each other. The patient may feel itching, tingling or burning sensation, sometimes only severe itching without skin lesions, which may disappear within 0.5 to 1 hour. Mild cholestatic urticaria can occur in normal people during adolescence. The symptoms usually disappear after stopping exercise or calming down, so it is not easy to attract attention. Occasionally, it is accompanied by systemic symptoms caused by acetylcholine (such as salivation, headache, bradypumping, pupil constriction, spasmodic abdominal pain, diarrhea), etc. Severe dizziness may lead to syncope. A skin test or scratch test with 1:5000 acetylcholine may produce a wheal at the injection site, with small satellite wheals around it.
