Herpes simplex virus type 2, how to treat

Herpes simplex virus type 2, how to treat

Herpes simplex can be treated with general treatment methods. Stronger patients can use local medications, but severe cases require timely anti-infection treatment. Patients need to take good care of themselves, get more rest, prevent bacterial infections, eat more vegetables, and relieve tension.

1. Treatment of herpes simplex

1. Generally, small-scale superficial herpes simplex lesions on the skin and mucous membranes can be treated with local anti-infection treatment alone. For patients with severe symptoms, especially those with involvement of important organs, systemic anti-infection drugs and corresponding symptomatic supportive treatment should be given. Oral enteric-coated aspirin can be used for those with significant pain in the skin and mucous membrane herpes sites. Sexual intercourse should be prohibited during the period of genital herpes. For some patients, necessary isolation from susceptible people should be implemented.

2. Anti-infection treatment of superficial herpes lesions can be treated with local medication, such as 3% acyclovir ointment or 0.5% idoxuridine ointment applied to the affected area. For those suspected of bacterial infection, chlortetracycline or neomycin ointment can be used externally. The Chinese medicine Garcinia is a dry colloid resin secreted by plants of the Garcinia family. It has anti-herpes virus, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, analgesic and astringent effects. It is reported that applying 30% Garcinia tincture once or twice a day to the affected area has a good effect on superficial lesions of genital herpes. Since ocular herpes may cause serious consequences, it should be actively treated; use 0.1% idoxuridine eye drops, once per hour, and the dosing interval can be extended after the condition is relieved. For those with larger lesions, 3% boric acid wet compresses can also be used externally.

2. Herpes simplex care

1. Some patients still have neuralgia after the skin lesions have completely disappeared. In this case, acupuncture, physical therapy, etc. can be used to relieve the pain.

2. Get more rest, eat easily digestible food and drink plenty of water.

3. Prevent secondary bacterial infection. Do not rub the affected area to prevent the blisters from bursting. You can apply Chinese herbal medicine or Levnol wet compress externally to promote the drying and scabbing of blisters.

4. Elderly patients with severe symptoms, especially those with herpes zoster on the head and face, are best hospitalized to prevent complications.

5. Suffering from herpes simplex indicates that the patient's immunity is in a low state, and appropriate measures should be taken in time.

6. Don't be too nervous. Some patients may develop blisters, blood blisters, or even erosions on their skin, but please don't be nervous. If treated properly, the disease will heal in about 10 days and will generally not recur after recovery.

7. Eat mainly vegetarian dishes, more high-fiber foods, and more watermelons and oranges. It is best to drink lemon water every day. Lemon juice can also be used to rub the rashes. Avoid fried, spicy and irritating foods. Irritating foods mainly refer to all fish and aquatic products, mutton, chicken, beef, cucumber, leek, coriander, toon, etc.
