Pollen allergy asthma has a relatively large impact, so if you want to solve it, you should pay attention to avoiding contact with pollen. This is also the most fundamental and at the same time allergic phenomenon has already occurred. Some desensitization treatments should be carried out, including conventional immunotherapy. 1. Avoid exposure to pollen. Avoiding exposure to pollen can usually prevent asthma attacks. However, in actual practice, it is difficult to completely prevent patients from contacting pollen. When a bronchial asthma patient is diagnosed with pollen allergy, he or she should first try to find out what type of pollen he or she is allergic to, so that he or she can avoid or reduce contact with that type of pollen at the appropriate time based on the dispersion of that type of pollen in the local atmosphere. 2. Pre-seasonal desensitization therapy usually starts 3 months before the pollen season arrives, with 2 to 3 injections per week. The injection dose of allergens is gradually increased from low concentration to high concentration, reaching a concentration of 1:100 before the season, so that the body can produce enough IgG blocking antibodies when the pollen season arrives, and then maintain injections 1 to 2 times a week. Treatment can be stopped in the last month of the disease season. 3. Conventional immunotherapy Conventional immunotherapy is a year-round desensitization therapy. By injecting pollen extract of increasing concentrations twice a week, the body strives to reach the maximum tolerance to the corresponding allergenic pollen in 3 to 4 months. At this time, the body can produce enough specific IgG blocking antibodies, so that the clinical symptoms of patients with pollen allergy asthma are relieved or eliminated. Then, maintenance injections are used 1 to 2 times a week or even once every 2 weeks. Before the next pollen season arrives, the interval between desensitization injections can be shortened to twice a week. Conventional immunotherapy usually requires continuous treatment for 3 to 5 years or more to consolidate the therapeutic effect. 4. Surprise immunotherapy Surprise immunotherapy usually adopts daily injection method or several injections per day, striving to reach the maximum tolerance to the corresponding allergenic pollen within 1 week to 1 month, so as to prevent or alleviate clinical symptoms. Intensive immunotherapy can significantly shorten the course of specific immunotherapy, and combined with pre-season desensitization, it can further shorten the treatment time. However, some studies have shown that intensive immunotherapy can increase delayed asthma reactions. Therefore, intensive immunotherapy should be performed in hospital under close observation by a specialist and should be used with caution. |
