The symptoms of psoriasis greatly affect people's visual perception. Psoriasis is a chronic and extremely stubborn skin disease that can be considered a neurodermatitis. It often occurs on the neck, has a lichen-like appearance, causes severe itching, and the affected skin is rough and thick like cowhide. In life, once psoriasis occurs, it is extremely difficult to treat, it takes years to heal, and it is very easy to relapse after recovery. 1. Early stage of psoriasis At the beginning, it appears as inflammatory flat papules ranging in size from pinheads to lentils, which gradually increase in size to become coin-sized or larger light red infiltrated macules with clear boundaries and covered with multiple layers of silvery white scales. Gently scrape off the surface scales to reveal a layer of light red shiny translucent film, which is called film phenomenon. If the thin film is scraped off again, small bleeding spots will appear, which is called punctate bleeding. Types of Psoriasis Patients who develop secondary erythroderma are called erythrodermic psoriasis; the rash has a small amount of exudate and is accompanied by moist scales. Or those that initially present as small pustules accompanied by fever and other symptoms are called pustular psoriasis; those combined with joint lesions are called articular psoriasis. 3. Characteristics of psoriasis It is prone to acute attacks, chronic course, and relapses. The onset of the disease is often related to the season. Some patients suffer from worsening symptoms in summer and recovering on their own in autumn and winter; others relapse in winter and spring and improve in summer. Psoriasis is the most difficult to treat among all psoriasis. The choice of products for treatment is also very important. Western medicine and hormone products are not recommended. It is better to choose Chinese medicine products for treatment. 4. Symptoms of Psoriasis During the development of psoriasis, the patient's skin lesions may appear in various forms. In the acute phase, the skin lesions are mostly in the form of guttate, bright red, and itchy. The lesions in the quiescent phase are often plaque-like or map-like. During the regression phase, the lesions are often ring-shaped or semi-ring-shaped. In a few cases, the scales on the rash are thicker and sometimes piled up like oyster shells. 5. Skin lesions can occur symmetrically on any part of the patient's body. It often occurs on the extensor side of the elbows and knees and on the head. In a small number of patients, the nails and mucous membranes may also be invaded. 6. The treatment of psoriasis needs to be distinguished from seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis rosea. Seborrheic dermatosis is usually characterized by yellow-red follicular papules with unclear boundaries, covered with greasy, bran-like scales. The typical lesions of pityriasis rosea are oval yellow-red The macules are surrounded by rose-colored ridges and covered with gray-white ring-shaped bran-like scales. They often occur on the trunk and proximal extremities and can heal on their own. Psoriasis Psoriasis Psoriasis |
