How to identify melanoma

How to identify melanoma

Each of us may have various moles of different sizes on our bodies. In our subconscious mind, moles may affect our image at most, but we probably never think that these moles on our bodies can also threaten our lives and health. Melanoma makes us begin to notice that these moles are not as simple as we think. So, let us all understand together, how do we check for melanoma?

1. The rash is asymmetrical. One side of the rash is relatively stable, while the other side expands outward and becomes irregular and rough.

Second, the rash becomes darker or lighter in pigment, which may be light brown, dark brown, black, dark red, purple, gray-green, gray-blue, or even disappear.

Third, the border around the rash is unclear, or one side is clear and the other side is blurry, giving people a vague feeling.

Fourth, the rash grows rapidly in a short period of time. It doubles in size within 1 to 2 months. If the diameter of the congenital nevus rash is greater than 6 mm, especially if it occurs on the palms and soles, if the diameter of the nevus exceeds 15 mm, it indicates the possibility of malignancy.

5. Whether the rash is raised. The rash is not raised at first, but then slightly raised, gradually forming nodules or erosion, scabs, pus, and water on the surface, especially blood.

Some subjective symptoms are also danger signals, such as itching, pain, burning sensation, redness and swelling, or the appearance of new small black spots within 2 cm around the mole. Especially moles growing on friction sites such as the palms, soles, fingernails (toes), waist, shoulders, etc. should not be ignored.
