What to do when eyestrain hurts? Computer addiction is to blame

Nowadays, people are constantly playing with mobile phones and looking at computers every day. After a long time, our eyes are the most damaged, and they are prone to eye fatigue and soreness. If you have to face the computer every day, you must protect your eyes and take some time to give your eyes a good rest.

1. What to do if you have eye fatigue?

1. Keep a distance of 25 inches (about 63 cm) from the screen and adjust the screen to a position slightly overlooking it;

2. Reduce screen glare by brightening the area, and wear goggles when necessary;

3. Add a casual sticker to your computer: blink your eyes! To remind yourself to blink;

4. The "20-20-20" rule: look up and down 20 feet (about 6 meters) away for at least 20 seconds every 20 minutes;

5. When your eyes are dry, use some artificial tears to moisturize them;

6. Maintain a regular computer work and rest schedule and try to get enough sleep.

7. If you need to use your computer to complete a marathon task, remember to take regular breaks or naps if possible;

8. Use a towel soaked in warm water to apply a hot compress to dry eyes;

9. Let your eyes breathe: wear glasses for a while;

10. Use good cleaning and care solution.

11. Avoid contact of the lens with water, and use new solution to clean and preserve the lens each time;

12. If you experience any redness, blurred vision, tearing, photophobia, or pain, swelling, or discharge, stop wearing contact lenses and see a doctor as soon as possible.

2. Do you know why computer addiction causes eye fatigue?

1. Normally, we blink an average of about 18 times per minute, but studies suggest that whether we are working or playing, the number of times we blink is halved when we use computers or other digital devices.

2. Long periods of reading, writing or other close-up work that requires concentration can cause eye fatigue.
