4. Preparation method

Concentrated hydrochloric acid and potassium permanganate are mixed in a chlorine generator for reaction, and then an excess of KOH is added to generate a saturated KCLO solution, and then ferric nitrate is added to generate a crude potassium ferrate product, which is purified and dried to obtain a potassium ferrate fungicide.

5. Performance

Potassium ferrate is a dark red, shiny powder crystal with a melting point of 198°C. It is easily soluble in water to form a purple-red solution. It has strong oxidizing properties and super strong, efficient and excellent bactericidal effects in the entire pH range. 6 mg/L of potassium ferrate can kill 99.9% of E. coli in water within half an hour. The stable potassium ferrate solution was used to act on the spores of Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans and Bacillus subtilis var. niger for 10 minutes, and the sterilization rate reached more than 99.95%.

6. Be careful with mixing drugs

Many fungicides are alkaline pesticides, so they cannot be mixed with insecticides that are easily decomposed and ineffective when exposed to alkaline substances. For example, Bordeaux mixture, lime sulfur, etc. are alkaline and cannot be mixed with 1605, dimethoate, DDT, etc., otherwise it will result in "mutual losses".
