Do you know the treatment methods for Hashimoto's thyroiditis?

Hashimoto's thyroiditis is also a type of thyroid disease. If you want to effectively reduce the impact of these diseases, you should pay attention to scientific treatment and medication, common thyroid hormone preparations, and the use of anti-thyroid drugs, and you should consult a doctor.

1. Thyroid hormone preparations: When thyroid function is normal or low, thyroid preparations can be used with good results. You can take 80 to 160 mg of thyroid tablets daily. Or L-thyroxine 0.2-0.4 mg. The specific dosage should be determined according to thyroid function, degree of thyroid enlargement, patient age and cardiovascular system condition. Generally, after 2 to 4 weeks of medication, symptoms will improve and the thyroid gland will shrink. At this time, the dosage can be appropriately reduced and maintained for 1 to 2 years or even longer.

2. If antithyroid drugs are accompanied by hyperthyroidism, antithyroid drugs can be used appropriately. The dosage should not be too large, and thyroid function should be monitored, and the dosage should be adjusted or the drug should be stopped in time. In addition, depending on the degree of hyperthyroidism, appropriate amounts of thyroid tablets can be added to improve thyroid enlargement and compression symptoms.

3. Adrenal cortical hormones can be considered for patients with obvious thyroid enlargement, significant compression symptoms, and rapidly progressing disease, in order to achieve better therapeutic effects in the short term. Prednisone 30 mg per day can be used, and the dosage can be reduced after the effect is achieved. The general medication period is 1 to 2 months, and thyroid tablets can be used to maintain the condition after it stabilizes.

4. If the treatment is ineffective, the diagnosis should be reviewed to exclude thyroid tumors or lymphomas, and surgical treatment can be used if necessary.
