How to take care of your fingernails

Fingernails are the keratinous shells on human fingers. Fingernails have many functions and are an indispensable part of the human body. However, the fingernails of modern people are basically more important for appearance than for health. Therefore, many people who love beauty cherish their nails very much and take care of their fingernails regularly. So, how to care for fingernails?

1. Use flat or angled nail clippers to start trimming from one side of the nail, leaving the nail at the length you want. Trim slowly from one side to the other, and don't start from the middle and trim the entire nail at once, as this will put too much pressure on the nail and it may break easily.

2. Use sand strips to start shaping.

3. After shaping, apply a cuticle softener on the nail skin, apply it on the semicircular intersection where the nail and flesh meet.

4. Girls with a lot of dead skin can use a hand soaking bowl with a little warm water and soak for about 5 minutes. This will soften the dead skin and make it easier to trim.

5. If there are thorns, you can cut off the dead skin. Before cutting, apply a layer of softener on the skin around the nail edge and leave it on for one minute to soften the cuticle, which will make it easier and more thorough to remove. If you remove dead skin without softening it, it will be painful. When removing dead skin, first use a fingernail shovel to push the cuticles on the nail surface to the edge of the nail, then use a cuticle scissors to trim along the edge of the nail, and finally use a cuticle fork to trim to a perfect shape.

Note: Use a cuticle pusher to gently push up the dead skin. Pay special attention here. Do not push the dead skin too hard. Push the uneven cuticle into a neat circle. The dead skin pusher should be at a 30-degree angle to the nail surface. It is best if the cuticle fits the nail well. Do not push the dead skin inside for the sake of a longer nail bed. This will only injure the nails and make them more susceptible to bacterial infection.
