Genital Candida Infection Symptoms and Effects

Genital Candida Infection Symptoms and Effects

Candida infection is a very common bacterial species, and it is also a common disease in clinical practice. Genital candidiasis is also very common and is primarily a fungal infection of the species Candida albicans. The symptoms of genital candidiasis are obvious, and patients will experience obvious itching.

1. Candida infection is a common fungus in the vagina. Before and after menstruation, during menopause or after childbirth, when the acidity of the vagina decreases and the normal balance between fungi and bacteria is disrupted, the number of Candida will increase rapidly and cause infection. It is characterized by grayish white cheese-like leucorrhea and is extremely itchy.

2. Genital candidiasis is a common disease of the male and female genitals. It is a genital disease caused by a fungal infection called Candida albicans. This disease is easily spread among women and causes symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge and itching of the genitals. Since it can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, the World Health Organization has listed it as a sexually transmitted disease. Candida albicans is a saprophytic parasite that usually lives in the human skin, mucous membranes, digestive tract and other organs. When the body's resistance is reduced, Candida albicans will multiply. When it reaches a certain amount, the human body will become ill. Therefore, Candida albicans is a conditional cause of pregnancy. When the glycogen in the vaginal epithelial cells of women increases and the acidity increases, Candida albicans will multiply and cause vaginitis. Therefore, this disease is common in pregnant women, diabetics and patients receiving estrogen treatment. In addition, the reason why it can be transmitted through sex is that couples often become ill at the same time. There is enough reason to prove that it can be transmitted through sex. Of course, Candida albicans can also be transmitted through public baths, bathtubs, bath towels, swimsuits, clothes, medical equipment and dressings.

3. Genital candidiasis can affect fetal development and cause infertility. If genital candidiasis is not treated for a long time, it is easy to cause inflammation, cervicitis and cervical erosion. If the pathogen enters the uterine cavity, it will cause fallopian tube and ovarian inflammation, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., and finally affect pregnancy. It is recommended to seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
