What is the cause of finger paralysis? Cervical spondylosis is the most common

Sometimes numbness in the fingers is caused by fatigue after long-term activities, and it will be fine after a rest. Some disease factors can cause finger paralysis, such as stroke, cervical spondylosis, and cerebral ischemia. You should be especially alert to stroke as it is a precursor to stroke.

1. Cervical spondylosis can cause numbness of hands. The most common disease that causes numbness of both hands is cervical spondylosis, which is also a highly prevalent disease. People with cervical spondylosis suffer from numbness in their fingers due to compression of the brachial plexus nerves caused by the disease. In addition to numbness in the fingers, many of these patients also have symptoms such as shoulder and neck pain, radiating pain in the upper limbs, or movement disorders.

2. Compression of upper limb nerves. If the hands compress the blood vessels and nerves while sleeping, causing blood flow obstruction and the hands not getting blood supply, numbness symptoms will appear. Generally speaking, this situation is caused by compression of the upper limb nerves.

3. Cerebral ischemia can cause numbness of fingers. If elderly people with hypertension or hyperlipidemia experience numbness in their fingers, it is likely caused by transient cerebral ischemia. Diseases such as hypertension or hyperlipidemia can cause vascular spasm or vascular sclerosis. At the same time, the blood viscosity of the elderly is high, which makes them prone to transient cerebral ischemia, leading to numbness of the fingers.

4. Numbness in fingers may be a precursor to stroke. If you often have numbness in your fingers, you need to be alert to stroke. Numbness in fingers is a common early sign of stroke, which is common in middle-aged and elderly people. If middle-aged people over 40 years old, in addition to numbness in fingers, often have symptoms such as headache, dizziness, heavy head and light feet, and swollen tongue, they usually have high blood pressure, high blood lipids, diabetes and other diseases, so they must pay more attention.
