An anxious mood can cause a person to feel very depressed and even have many manifestations of irritability. Some people have anxiety somatization disorder. Most of these people may be hereditary. The symptoms of women and men are different. Men will become very anxious, while most women are related to certain personality disorders. You need to understand the treatment of anxiety somatization disorder. Somatization disorder is a group of neurotic disorders characterized by persistent fear or belief in a predominance of various physical symptoms. Patients present with diverse, frequently changing physical symptoms that may involve any system and organ in the body. The disease often has a chronic, fluctuating course and is more common in adult females than in males. Patients seek medical attention due to recurring symptoms, and the results of medical examinations and tests are mostly negative. Doctors often cannot give an accurate diagnosis, and their explanations cannot dispel patients' doubts. Patients sometimes do have some physical discomfort, but its severity is not enough to explain the patient's pain and anxiety. Sometimes patients are thought to have psychological problems or autonomic nervous system dysfunction, or menopausal syndrome. Causes 1. Genetics It is generally believed that the cause of this disease is not yet very clear. 2. Personality traits Female patients are often associated with certain personality disorders, while male patients are often associated with anxiety. 3. Neurophysiology The patient had symmetrical dysfunction in both frontal lobes of the brain. The dysfunction is more severe in the anterior part of the nondominant hemisphere than in the posterior part. 4. Social and psychological medical factors Qidian Medicine believes that bad living habits may be the main cause of the disease, and life and work pressure and emotional changes may be the inducing factors. Clinical manifestations: Patients' symptoms are diverse and recurring, the location of symptoms often changes, and the discomfort symptoms may involve any part or organ of the body. Results of various medical examinations: No definite diagnosis of the disease can be given. The most common symptoms: abnormal gastrointestinal sensation, pain, hiccups, acid reflux, nausea, vomiting, etc.; abnormal skin sensation, burning sensation, pain, itching, numbness, crawling sensation, etc., skin spots; sexual and menstrual symptoms. The above discomfort caused the patient to seek medical treatment repeatedly. Patients often have obvious anxiety and depression. Diagnostic criteria 1. Symptoms (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for somatoform disorder. (2) At least two of the four groups of physical symptoms are present: ① Gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain, nausea or bloating; loss of taste in the mouth or thick tongue coating; vomiting or nausea; frequent bowel movements, loose stools or watery stools. ② Respiratory and circulatory symptoms, such as shortness of breath and chest pain. ③ Urinary and reproductive system symptoms, such as: difficulty urinating or frequent urination; discomfort in or around the genitals; abnormal or excessive vaginal discharge. ④ Skin symptoms or pain symptoms, such as scars, limb or joint pain, numbness or tingling. (3) Imaging and laboratory tests: They often fail to reveal evidence of physical disorders and cannot provide a reasonable explanation for the severity, variability, persistence, or secondary social impairment of symptoms. (4) The above symptoms cause patients to suffer and they continue to seek medical treatment or request various examinations, but negative test results and the doctor’s reasonable explanations cannot dispel their doubts. (5) Symptoms of autonomic hyperactivity exist but are not dominant. 2. Symptoms persist for at least 2 years. The following diseases were excluded: schizophrenia, mood disorders, adjustment disorders or panic disorders. 3. Physical signs In addition to imaging laboratory tests, a doctor's physical examination is particularly important for the diagnosis of this disease! Qi point medical examination: Through careful physical examination and palpation by the doctor, special pain points, namely Qi points, can be touched in the corresponding parts of the patient's body. The distribution pattern of Qi points varies from patient to patient, which is one of the reasons why it is difficult to make an accurate diagnosis of this disease clinically. |
