How to treat small intestinal rupture with open wound

Small intestinal rupture with open wounds is often caused by various external forces. The patient may experience abdominal distension and pain, or serious problems such as shock. Therefore, scientific treatment must be paid attention to prevent shock, and the use of drugs and treatment methods must also be followed according to the doctor's instructions.

1. Treatment principles

(1) Prevent and treat shock.

(2) Anti-infection.

(3) Correct water and electrolyte imbalance.

(4) Surgical treatment.

2. Medication principles

(1) For patients with simple intestinal perforation and good general condition, postoperative treatment mainly includes fluid replacement, anti-infection, and correction of water and electrolyte disorders.

(2) For patients with shock, active anti-shock measures should be taken.

(3) For elderly patients with severe wound damage and poor nutritional status, attention should be paid to strengthening supportive therapy after surgery. If necessary, blood transfusion or human albumin should be given to enhance the wound healing ability.

3. Surgery

(1) Once the diagnosis of small intestinal rupture is confirmed, surgical treatment should be performed immediately. The main surgical method is simple repair. Interrupted transverse sutures are generally used to prevent stenosis of the intestinal lumen after repair.

(2) Partial small bowel resection and anastomosis should be performed in the following situations: ① The tear is large or the intestinal wall tissue at the edge of the tear is severely bruised; ② There are multiple ruptures in a small segment of the intestine; ③ Most or all of the intestine is ruptured; ④ Mesenteric damage affects intestinal blood circulation.
