1. Where is the Yintang acupoint?

Yintang is one of the acupoints on the human body. It comes from "Bian Que's Divine Acupuncture and Moxibustion Jade Dragon Classic" and is an extra meridian point. Yin refers to a seal in general; Tang refers to a court. In ancient times, the area between the eyebrows on the forehead was called "Que", and astrologers called it Yintang. Because the acupoint is located here, it got the name. This acupoint is located on the forehead, between the eyebrows. It has the effects of improving eyesight, clearing the nose, calming the mind and soothing the nerves. It is mainly used clinically to treat insomnia, headache, sinusitis and other diseases.

When locating the acupoint, the body should adopt the posture of sitting upright, leaning back or lying on the back. Yintang point is located on the face, at the intersection of the line between the two eyebrows and the front midline. Yintang point is an extra meridian point.

1. Treat vertigo

Massage method: The person being massaged lies on his back, and the massager sits behind his head. Use the thumb to push and rub the Yintang acupoint from the nose to the forehead for about 2 minutes. It is best if a local soreness and swelling sensation is felt.

Efficacy: Treat headaches, dizziness, eyestrain, dark circles, forehead wrinkles, nasal congestion, rosacea, sinusitis, etc.

2. Treatment of hemifacial spasm

Massage method: Lie on your back or sit up, press the Yintang point with the spiral surface of the middle finger, first massage in a clockwise direction for 2 minutes, then press for another half a minute until you feel a sore and swollen feeling.

Efficacy: Treat colds, vascular headaches, frontal sinusitis, supraorbital neuralgia, acute and chronic rhinitis, nosebleeds, nasal polyps, nervous vomiting, postpartum fainting, infantile convulsions, muscle spasms, and facial nerve paralysis.
