How to distinguish sweat odor from body odor? How to identify it like this

Whether it is sweat odor or body odor, it has a great impact on people's lives. Walking in the crowd, it is easy to cause others' disgust. Speaking of it, the former is still a normal physical abnormality, but the latter is a disease. But how to distinguish between the two? Many people don't know. Here we will introduce to you how to distinguish between sweat odor and body odor.

Generally, there is no obvious difference between body odor and sweat odor. The main difference is that the smell of body odor is stronger, while the smell of sweat is weaker. Body odor, also known as axillary odor, has a stronger smell and can easily make others feel uncomfortable.

Generally speaking, there are two types of sweat glands. One is the exocrine gland, also known as the small sweat gland, which is distributed throughout the body and secretes 99% water and 0.5% salt. The other type is the apocrine gland, also known as the large sweat gland, which is located in the dermis of the skin. It opens at the root of the hair and is only distributed in the armpits, pubic area and eyebrows. It secretes a thicker liquid containing oil, protein and iron. The bacteria in the armpits then decompose the sweat and create a foul odor.

Body odor is the annoying smell of body odor caused by the action of saprophytic bacteria on the skin surface on the sweat glands. It is similar to the smell emitted from a fox's anus, so it is often called body odor. It is characterized by a special yellowish-brown paste-like sweat secreted from the patient's armpits, which produces a specific odor. It happens to both men and women, but more often to women, especially adolescent girls, when the apocrine sweat glands begin to become active and body odor is more likely to occur.

Sweat odor is a general body odor caused by heavy exercise, developed sweat glands during puberty, and long intervals between personal hygiene washing. The odor can be eliminated through washing. Sweat odor will generally disappear after washing, but as long as body odor continues to be secreted after washing, the odor will reappear immediately, and the two can be distinguished by the smell.
