What to do if you have mental stress and insomnia

If you are mentally stressed, it will affect your normal life and work, so you should pay attention to relieving your emotions. When you go out, you should prepare what you need in advance and don’t eat too much for dinner, as it will affect your sleep.

1. Prepare the items you need for tomorrow

Sometimes intense tension can cause a person to develop a short-term obsessive-compulsive disorder, and they will constantly worry whether something is not prepared properly, and what to do if they forget something in a hurry and it affects important events tomorrow. Some serious manifestations include constantly checking the items that need to be prepared. For this situation, you can list the items that need to be prepared on a piece of paper and write down the order in which things need to be dealt with. This way, being organized will dispel your worries.

2. Don’t eat too much at night

Due to tension, people may overeat, especially eating too much at night, which will affect sleep and cause gastrointestinal diseases.

If you have something important to deal with tomorrow, just drink a glass of hot milk and two slices of bread the night before. Such high-protein foods will not only replenish your physical strength but also help you sleep well all night.

3. Don’t take a hot bath

Many people think that taking a hot bath and sleeping comfortably is the best, but this is not true. A hot bath can certainly relax your mood, but it can also make your body excited, which is not conducive to sleep, especially when you are nervous and have difficulty falling asleep.

You can try taking a warm or cold shower, but remember to take it early, rather than just before going to bed, as the refreshing cold water may keep you awake.

4. Don’t go to bed early just because you are nervous

If you choose to go to bed early because you are worried about insomnia, if you can fall asleep, you may go to bed earlier than before, but depending on the person, you may wake up early after sleeping for a while. This is also considered insomnia.

Just follow your normal schedule and don’t go to bed too early.
