Noise is a frequency of sound waves. This frequency has no regularity. Noise has a great impact on people's life and body. Many people don't know what to do when they suffer from noise pollution. For this kind of problem, people can start by renovating their homes and increasing sound insulation. 1. Door modification If your home is currently suffering from noise pollution and you only have ordinary wooden doors and windows, then there are specially produced fireproof and soundproof doors. Installing soundproof doors can reduce the noise by about 36 decibels. If there is a long-term noise source next to your home, it is recommended that you replace your door in time. 2. Window renovation To modify a window, you need to replace the entire window body. The so-called soundproof window is a hollow glass. Vacuum is drawn and nitrogen is added between the two sides of the glass. The thickness is about 8mm. Overall change. Generally, the glass material of soundproof windows is mostly transparent glass with a thickness of more than 5mm. It is recommended to use 5~8mm thick transparent glass under normal circumstances. The use of soundproof windows can reduce noise by more than 30 decibels. Another way is to install another layer of windows on the basis of the original windows without removing them, which can both prevent dust and sound. 3. Wall renovation There are two ways to renovate walls: the first is suitable for residents of large apartments, which is to install a layer of gypsum board to reduce noise. The specific operation is: first use wooden keels to partition the wall into grids, then fill it with 3 cm rock wool, seal it with gypsum board, and finally paint the wall. This method is less expensive, but it takes up more space and each wall will lose 4 cm in length. Another method suitable for residents of small apartments is to use cork cages to cover the walls. First, use solid wood to divide the walls in unequal intervals in geometric shapes, and then cover them with cork cages. This method is more expensive, but the cork, which is only 3 mm thick, takes up almost no interior space. After the wall is renovated, the noise can be reduced by about 50 decibels. Tip: Once the wall is remodeled, the indoor area will be reduced accordingly. 4. Ceiling renovation There are two ways to reduce sound. One is to add sound insulation cotton or mineral wool board to the roof keel. These two materials are relatively cheap. The second is to use aluminum buckle sound insulation material, also called sound-absorbing panel. Different sound-absorbing panels should be selected according to whether the keel is bright or dark. The aluminum buckle sound insulation panels installed in the living room can be curved and shaped, which can both soundproof and decorate the living room. The noise level can be reduced by about 20 decibels after the ceiling modification. |
