What is white blood cell infection? It is mostly bacterial infection

Routine blood tests revealed that white blood cells were infected, that is, leukocytosis. The common cause is bacterial infection. Many children have recurring fevers, which may be caused by bacterial infection, which can cause leukocytosis.

1. Bacterial infectious stomatitis in children:

The onset is acute, accompanied by systemic reactions such as fever, headache, sore throat, crying, irritability, refusal to eat, swollen submandibular lymph nodes, etc. Lesions can occur anywhere in the oral mucosa, most commonly on the tongue, inner lips, and cheek mucosa. Initially, the mucosa is congested and edematous, followed by erosions or ulcers of varying sizes. The surface is covered with a grayish-white pseudomembrane, which can be seen scattered or aggregated and then fused. It is easy to wipe off, but leaves a bleeding wound, which is soon covered by the pseudomembrane.

2. Bacterial vaginosis:

The typical clinical symptoms of this disease are a significant increase in abnormal vaginal secretions, which are thin, homogeneous or thin, pasty, grayish white, grayish yellow or milky yellow, with a special fishy odor. Since alkaline prostatic fluid can cause the release of amines, the odor worsens during or after sexual intercourse. The vaginal pH increases during menstruation, so the odor may also worsen during or after menstruation. Patients have discomfort in the vulva, including varying degrees of vulvar itching, which is generally not time-sensitive. However, the itching is more obvious at rest and when in a tense state. There is also varying degrees of external burning sensation. Some patients experience dyspareunia, and a very small number of patients experience lower abdominal pain, difficulty in intercourse and abnormal urination. The vaginal mucosal epithelium has no obvious congestion when the disease occurs.

3. Bacterial enteritis:

Fever, diarrhea, mucus or pus and blood in stool, fishy smell in stool, some have a feeling of tenesmus, and even a feeling that there is still stool left after defecation.

4. Bacterial pneumonia

Symptoms include chills, fever, cough, sputum, chest pain, etc. Fever is common, mostly persistent high fever. After antibiotic treatment, the fever type may be atypical. Cough and sputum are very abundant. In the early stage, it is a dry cough, which gradually leads to sputum. The amount of sputum varies, and the sputum is mostly purulent. The more typical sputum of Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia is yellow purulent; the sputum of Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia is rust-colored sputum; the sputum of Klebsiella pneumoniae pneumonia is brick-red and sticky; the sputum of Pseudomonas aeruginosa pneumonia is light green; anaerobic infection is often accompanied by a foul odor, and it is rare to develop into the above-mentioned typical sputum manifestations after antibacterial treatment. A few have hemoptysis and dyspnea, and some have chest pain. When the pleura is involved, it is a needle-like pain. Lower lobe pneumonia stimulates the diaphragmatic pleura, and the pain can radiate to the shoulder or abdomen. The latter is easily misdiagnosed as acute abdomen. Systemic symptoms include headache, muscle aches, and fatigue. A few have gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, and diarrhea. Severe patients may have neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, impaired consciousness, and convulsions.
