Bed sores are a common disease among the elderly, so more attention should be paid to their treatment and care. The treatment methods are currently relatively mature. During the treatment, attention should be paid to the care and hygiene of the elderly so that the affected area can heal better. The general care method is: 1. Turn over frequently. Bedsores are tissue ulcers and necrosis caused by long-term pressure on local skin, ischemia and hypoxia of subcutaneous tissue. Therefore, the patient should be turned over frequently, generally once every 1-2 hours. If the skin becomes red, it should be turned over once every hour. 2. The mattress should be breathable, moderately soft and hard, and have good water absorption. The sheets should be kept flat, dry, clean, without wrinkles, crumbs, or debris. The sheets should be made of pure cotton. In addition, a pure cotton bath towel can be placed on the sheets for easy replacement. 3. To keep the patient's skin clean and dry, the commonly used method is warm water bathing 1-2 times a day. Do not use strong irritating cleansers when scrubbing, and do not rub hard to avoid damaging the skin. For the armpits and abdominal muscle grooves that are prone to sweating, you can wipe them with a small towel at any time. 4. Strengthen nutrition. Another factor causing bedsores is malnutrition which leads to decreased skin resistance. Therefore, patients with bedsores should eat foods that are rich in nutrients and easily absorbed, and should not eat spicy foods such as peppers. Eat more vegetable oils, such as peanut oil, sesame oil, soybean oil, rapeseed oil, etc., which have the effect of moisturizing the intestines. |
