How to clean mildew spots on clothes

Many people do not pay much attention to the care of clothes. They simply put clothes in the closet for a long time without wearing them, which causes them to grow mold after getting damp. Mildew stains are like many other very difficult to clean stains. There is currently no good way to clean them. Clothes with many mildew stains basically cannot be worn, which is very wasteful. So how to clean mildew spots on clothes?

1. During the rainy season, washed clothes are difficult to dry and often have an unpleasant musty smell. If you wash the clothes again in water with a small amount of vinegar and milk, you can remove the musty smell. If there are yellowed spots on the clothes or bed sheets you have collected, apply some milk, put them in the sun for a few hours, and then wash them in the usual way.

2. If there are mildew stains on the woolen fabric, you must first hang it in a cool and ventilated place to dry, and then wipe the mildew stains repeatedly with cotton dipped in a small amount of gasoline.

3. For new mildew stains, first use a brush and then use alcohol to remove them. Old mildew stains need to be coated with ammonia water, left for a while, then coated with potassium permanganate solution, and finally soaked with sodium ammonium sulfite solution and rinsed with water. In the above treatment process, different fabrics need different treatments: to prevent the spread of mildew.

4. Black spots will appear on white vests after wearing them for a long time. You can take 2 taels of fresh ginger, mash it, put it in a pot, add 1 jin of water and boil it. After it cools down a little, pour it into a washing basin, soak the white vest for ten minutes, and rub it repeatedly several times. The black spots will be eliminated.

5. Clothes that are dried in the shade are easily affected by moisture and have a musty smell. Just iron them again after drying in the shade to make the clothes drier, and there will be no musty smell or mold.

The mildew stains on clothes are caused by not paying attention to body care. We must ensure that the clothes are dry when putting them away, put them in places where they are not easily damp, and take them out to dry in the sun regularly. This can reduce the probability of mildew stains on clothes. At the same time, we should not blindly use detergents to clean them after mildew stains appear.
