What are the methods to fight eye fatigue?

Many white-collar workers face the computer for a long time every day, which is very harmful to the eyes. It will cause eye fatigue and often feel dizzy and headache because of long-term exposure to radiation. In addition, we have to face it every day. If the eyes do not pay attention to rest, they will become tired. So what are the ways to fight fatigue? How to keep the eyes charming and bright?

1. Pay attention to the position of the light source

The computer screen should be placed so that the strongest light source is to the side. And the brightness of the surrounding environment should not exceed the screen brightness. Use an adjustable light source so that the light does not shine directly into your eyes or cause glare on the screen.

Screen reflections can cause eye discomfort. The strongest reflections come from light from above, including fluorescent lights or sunlight. Turning off some or all overhead light sources can reduce glare. You can reduce glare by tilting your computer monitor slightly downward, using an anti-glare screen, and drawing the curtains.

2. Give your eyes a rest

You should take a 10-15 minute break every 40-50 minutes of computer operation. The younger you are, the shorter the operation time should be. Every 10 minutes, look away from the screen and spend 10 seconds looking at something far away or up.

When resting, you can move your eyeballs up and down, left and right, lie on your back with your eyes closed, or look into the distance to avoid using your eyes at close range. You can apply moderate heat to your eyes 2-3 times a day.

3. Change the pace of work

Stand up and walk around at least every two hours to give your body and eyes a rest.

4. Remember to blink

Many people blink less frequently than usual when using a computer. Reduced blinking reduces the lubricating effect of tears on the eyeball, causing frequent dryness and discomfort. If you must use a computer for long periods of time, consider artificial tears.

5. Maintain a good sitting posture

As the saying goes, "a pillow for your head, a support for your elbows, a cushion for your back, and a step for your feet", good posture can prevent neck and back muscle soreness.

Eyes are the windows to our soul and are very important to me. If you are not careful, it will cause visual fatigue, so we must ensure that the eyes get enough rest. In addition, when operating the computer, it is important to let your eyes look outdoors for a rest for no more than an hour at a time.
