It is a common phenomenon to have a lump on the body, but most people do not take it seriously and often think that the lump will slowly disappear. In fact, if a lump suddenly appears on the body, it is best to pay attention to it. If such sudden diseases are not taken seriously, it will not only affect the health of the body, but may also damage the health of the skin. Active treatment is needed, but do not use medication blindly. Why does it hurt when pressing the back bag? If you feel pain when pressing on a lump on your back, it may be inflammation of the hair follicles or a boil. It is usually caused by a local infection, so it is best to go to the hospital for examination and treatment. Furuncle disease is what we usually call boils. It is a large red swelling formed when the hair follicles are infected by bacteria. It is an acute suppurative infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus invading the hair follicles and surrounding tissues. Furuncles often occur on the head, face, and back, which are rich in hair follicles and sebaceous glands, as well as the neck, waist, and buttocks, which are susceptible to mechanical stimulation. The initial symptoms of a furuncle are a red, swollen, painful, small nodule on the skin, which is a cone-shaped protrusion and painful to touch. Then a yellow-white pus head appears on the top of the nodule, surrounded by a red hard disk. The patient feels local itching, burning sensation and throbbing pain. Later, the pus head ruptures, and the pain is relieved after a small amount of pus is discharged, or a pus plug forms on the top, separates from the surrounding tissue and falls off. The inflammation gradually subsides, and the wound heals on its own. During the course of the disease, there are generally no obvious systemic symptoms except swelling of the lymph nodes in the drainage area. If the furuncle is not treated properly, such as scratching or squeezing to drain pus, hot compress, drug burning and corrosion, and inappropriate incision, it can cause the inflammation to spread. The furuncle located on the upper and lower lips, and nose, because it is located in the "danger triangle" of the face, the infection can suddenly worsen, and the local redness, swelling, and pain will increase in area, accompanied by cellulitis or develop into carbuncle; it may even be complicated by cavernous sinus thrombosis, sepsis, or sepsis. The clinical manifestations vary depending on the location and severity of the furuncle. Local redness, swelling, pain, and hardening There are usually no systemic symptoms at the beginning of the disease, only local redness, swelling and pain in the infected area, with a diameter of no more than 2 cm. The small nodules gradually swell and become papule-like protrusions. After a few days, the lesions expand to about 3 to 5 cm, the nodules gradually soften, the center is white, and there is a slight fluctuation when touched. Then they break and pus appears, and yellow-white pus plugs appear. After the pus plugs fall off and the pus is drained, the inflammation gradually subsides and heals. Some furuncles have no pus plugs (so-called headless furuncles) and are slightly delayed in bursting, so it is necessary to try to encourage the discharge of pus. Fever, swollen lymph nodes When the furuncle infection is severe, the lymph nodes in the local area will swell and become tender, and may be accompanied by a fever throughout the body, and sometimes abscesses will form in the lymph nodes. When facial boils on the nose, upper lip and their surrounding areas (called the "danger triangle") worsen or are squeezed, the bacteria can enter the skull through the medial angular vein and ophthalmic vein, causing intracranial purulent infection, which may cause fever, headache, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. In the early stage, the hair follicles are locally red, swollen, hot, painful, indurated, and purulent, and then the center becomes white and fluctuates. It may be accompanied by systemic fever, and the white blood cell count and differential count are increased. Among oral and maxillofacial infections, facial furuncles are most likely to cause systemic complications. This is because: the pathogens of furuncles are highly virulent; the veins in the "danger triangle" between the upper lip and nose often have no valves; and the physiological movements of the facial expression muscles and lips can easily spread the infection. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : |
