Is camphor oil toxic?

Is camphor oil toxic?

I believe that in the hot summer, although many friends can wear beautiful clothes, what bothers them is that there are too many mosquitoes in the summer. If you are not careful, you will get bitten by mosquitoes and big lumps will appear on your skin. So many times they use camphor oil to repel mosquitoes. Is camphor oil poisonous? Regarding this question, let me share with you in the following time.

"Camphor balls" (sanitary balls) are processed from organic matter extracted from petroleum or coal tar. Their main components are naphthalene, paradichlorobenzene and chemical camphor, which are aromatic hydrocarbons. It is highly volatile and toxic. Among them, naphthalene was banned by the National Environmental Protection Organization as early as the 1990s, and p-dichlorobenzene was classified as a strong carcinogen by the World Health Organization.

A large number of experiments have shown that "mothballs" are extremely harmful to human health. Using mothballs to prevent moths on clothing was a practice in the 1970s. In the 21st century, we advocate environmental protection and health, improve human fitness, and use healthy products. The substances emitted by mothballs enter the human body through the skin along with clothing, causing chronic harm to the body. It can cause hemolytic jaundice in young children, vomiting and anemia in pregnant women, defects in the fetus, dry skin, hair loss, and even allergic eczema in adults with poor immunity. Long-term use for more than 10 years can cause fatal granulocytopenia, and even chronic cancer. Women are more sensitive than men.

I believe that through the above understanding of all of us, our friends have a deeper understanding and knowledge about whether camphor oil is toxic. Of course, I would like to remind everyone that camphor oil has a rather special fragrance, but it is made of some chemical synthetics after all. Long-term use will have certain effects on our bodies. Therefore, we must pay attention to some taboos when using it.
