What are the advantages and disadvantages of microwave ovens

Microwave ovens have been widely used in daily life. As modern people are increasingly pressed for time, sometimes they feel it is a pity to throw away leftovers, but it is troublesome and time-consuming to heat them up in a pot. At this time, if you put the food in a microwave oven, the food can be fully heated and eaten in just a few minutes. However, although microwave ovens are very convenient, they also have some disadvantages.

Microwave ovens have made a significant contribution to today's fast-paced life. You can use them to cook food, defrost quickly, heat food, and even bake cakes instead of an oven. But the hazards of microwave ovens should arouse our more attention. Microwaved food produces carcinogenic compounds. Studies have shown that microwaved meat will produce carcinogens; amino acids in milk, fruit, and cereal will also be converted into carcinogens after being microwaved; and plant alkaloids in vegetables will also be converted into carcinogens after being microwaved, which will endanger our health.

The food nutrition is seriously lost. Food cooked in a microwave oven can greatly reduce the minerals, vitamins and nutrients in vegetables, or convert them into carcinogens. The body will undergo certain changes secretly. Such as hormonal imbalance, lymphatic and digestive system disorders, blood and immune abnormalities, depression, memory degeneration, permanent brain damage, and even heart disease. It should also be noted that metal containers are also not advisable because sparks will be generated when heating in the microwave, which will not only damage the oven body but also cause an explosion. We should use microwave-safe containers to heat food, and do not close the container lid tightly during the heating process, because the heat generated by heating food in a closed container is not easy to dissipate, causing the pressure in the container to be too high, which can easily cause an explosion.

Heating food in a microwave oven will cause a large loss of nutrients in the food, and you will not be able to replenish the nutrients after eating it. In addition, the current of the microwave oven is very large, and the radiation around the microwave oven is also relatively strong. If you are a housewife who is pregnant, it is recommended that you stay away from the microwave oven. In real life, there have been fires caused by eating in microwave ovens or accidents of electric leakage in microwave ovens.
