How to remove mildew spots on clothes

How to remove mildew spots on clothes

Although clothes have no life, various things can grow on their "bodies", and things of all colors can appear. If we have worn a piece of clothing before, but then took it off and put it aside, and forgot to wash it for a long time, it will eventually grow mold spots, and it will look weird and black. If we want to remove mildew spots, what should we do?

1. The mildew stains on clothes can be exposed to sunlight first, then the mildew can be removed with a brush, and then washed with alcohol, or rubbed with mung bean sprouts.

2. Soak the clothes contaminated with mildew in concentrated soapy water, take them out with the soapy water, and place them in the sun for a while. Repeat this process several times. After the mildew stains are removed, rinse them with clean water.

3. Wipe with 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap flakes to 250 grams of alcohol and stir evenly), then wipe with 3-5% sodium hypochlorite bleach or hydrogen peroxide, and finally wash. This method is only applicable to white clothes, and old stains can be soaked in the solution for 1 hour.

4. You can also wipe it with 5% ammonia water or turpentine, and then wash it with water to remove it.

5. Silk clothes can be washed with citric acid and then rinsed with cold water. 6. Mildew stains on linen fabrics can be cleaned with calcium chloride solution.

7. Stains on wool fabrics can also be cleaned with mustard solution or borax solution (add two tablespoons of mustard or two tablespoons of borax to a bucket of water).

No matter how terrible mold spots are, there are ways to fight them. The reason why mold spots appear on clothes is because they are placed in a hidden place for a long time, and bacteria grow and multiply on them, eventually forming various black spots. So, after taking it out, you can put it in the sun first, and then clean it with alcohol. You can try any of the methods in the article.
