What are the serious symptoms of acute glomerulonephritis?

Acute glomerulonephritis is the most common disease among adolescents and children, and most of the patients are males. It can cause symptoms of renal insufficiency. Parents should also pay attention to this disease. Doing a good job of prevention can also reduce the incidence of the disease.

(1) Acute renal insufficiency: manifested by severe oliguria or even anuria, significantly elevated serum creatinine and urea nitrogen, serum creatinine ≥176 μmol/L (2 mg/dl), hyperkalemia and metabolic acidosis, and children may experience nausea, vomiting, fatigue, increased breathing rate, and aggravated edema.

(2) Severe circulatory congestion: Severe water and sodium retention can cause severe circulatory congestion and heart failure edema, which are manifested as obvious edema, persistent oliguria or even anuria, palpitations, shortness of breath, irritability, inability to lie flat, cyanosis, rales in both lungs, dull heart sounds, increased heart rate, gallop rhythm, and progressive enlargement of the liver.

(3) Hypertensive encephalopathy: A sudden rise in blood pressure to over 21.3/14.7 kPa (160/110 mmHg) exceeds the compensatory contraction function of cerebral blood vessels, resulting in excessive cerebral blood perfusion and cerebral edema, with symptoms such as severe headache, frequent vomiting, blurred vision or even blindness, severe unconsciousness, coma, convulsions, etc.

Parents and friends are reminded to pay attention to this disease and do preventive work on it as early as possible. This can reduce the incidence of the disease and protect our children from the harm and trouble of the disease, thus ensuring their children's health.

The above introduces in detail the serious symptoms of acute glomerulonephritis. A lot of clinical manifestations have been introduced above, such as some serious circulatory congestion and hypertensive encephalopathy. Because the incidence of such diseases is still very high, it is very important to prevent the harm of such diseases.
