Jade is a favorite of most women because it is a symbol of elegance and holiness. Isn’t it said that gold has a price but jade is priceless, and that jade can nourish people? However, if jade is in contact with dirt such as oil for a long time, it will lose its original beautiful luster and look very ugly. At this time we need to clean it. So how do you clean jade? It’s the same as cleaning diamonds, each has its own cleaning method. Let’s look down together. 1. When you get the jade piece, first soak it in clean water at room temperature for 2-3 hours (until the surface attachments soften), then scrub it clean with a toothbrush, and then soak it in hot water (about 70-80 degrees for new jade) until the hot water and the jade cool down naturally. I usually put it in a warm place with no air circulation to allow the hot water to cool down slowly. This also allows the pores of the jade to fully expand and expel the dirt inside. Repeat this process for about three cycles, then do it about once every three to six months, and once every one to two months in the summer. 2. Also, remember not to put jade on your face or nose and apply oil (which is often seen). That oil is not the so-called nourishing liquid for jade. Instead, it will have the opposite effect and seal the jade gate (pores), making the jade look dull. Also, I don't use a boar bristle brush because the patina it produces will have a shiny feel. It is recommended to use a soft "white pure cotton" long towel to clean the dish, but it is not suitable to use dyed cloth or hard cloth of chemical fiber to wipe it. 3. After playing with the jade for 1 week in summer (2-3 weeks in winter), use warm water (about 40 degrees) when taking a bath every night. Soak it for a while and then brush it clean. Please be careful to avoid direct contact with soap. After that, just keep the jade clean. If it is convenient, you can wash it frequently. As we all know, sweat contains salt, volatile fatty acids and urea. If jade pieces come into contact with too much sweat and are not cleaned immediately after wearing, the jade pieces will be corroded over time, the outer layer will be damaged, and the original gloss will be affected. White jade, in particular, should be protected from sweat and grease. If white jade comes into contact with sweat too much, it will easily turn light yellow and no longer be as pure white as fat. Please note that jade is most averse to the following substances: perfume, chemicals, soap and human sweat. After a period of playing with it, the texture of the jade itself will gradually reveal itself. Good jade is warm and full of spirit. The color of the skin becomes brighter and more vivid as it is played with, and it becomes more and more pleasing to the eye! That feeling cannot be described in words. Only jade friends can experience the fun of it through their own experience in the whole process of playing with it. In fact, after being carved, jade is usually coated with Sichuan wax. Sichuan wax can help jade enhance its beauty. Therefore, jade cannot come into contact with many substances, even jade that has not been waxed. Because most chemical reagents are harmful to humans. The above are some methods on how to clean jade that I brought to you today. |
